Beyond Thunderdome {Battle of Bands Part One

It was the night of the battle of the bands. Brayden had helped the bands name the event. For some reason they found it interesting to call it 'Beyond Thunderdome' to connect it with a song that Benji had written for the whole group to join in on. The stage had been set and the chairs and such been laid out in their spots. The instruments were set up in the appropriate spots. There was a strobe light and a whole light set up ready at a moments notice.

And just where were the guys? gathered around the bar of course. Jamie and Brayden had a similar hairstyle... a ponytail. It was in that way, it showed the similarities between the two of them. They were working out bits and pieces of things, and all the guys were discussing their set list over a few drinks. surprisingly nonalcoholic drinks at the moment. Soda, tea and water. Mostly flavored water was being drunk by the band at the moment. Black Cherry flavored water to be more precise.

Brayden was behind the bar, and in the order of seats, it was Jamie, Benji,Benny and Jerad. Jamie and Brayden were chatting up a storm since they realized that they were in fact Brothers. It took them seven years, and many people telling them to get them to finally realize it. Benji and Benny were laughing at a trick that Jerad did. he was making a school of swedish fish swimming around them. Jerad made one swim right into Benji's mouth lazily. They were just waiting for the girls and everyone else.

Of course the girls were waiting to the last minute to come in and get set up. Of course the last minute to them was about two or three hours before the show was about to begin. But oh well. It was how the Hey Monday girls rolled. Laughing, Emi came in first to the venue, carrying her drum sticks that Benny had given her and looked back at Selena that followed suit behind her. "Oh Selena you should've been there. It was priceless. I laughed my ass off." She said still laughing from the thought of the event. Selena only giggled and smiled at her goofiness. Selena had her guitar case in hand and Vero followed right behind Selena with her bass case in hand. Sun glasses covered her eyes and a light red tinge that was barely noticeable wore over her skin from the burn of the sun.

"Ello boys." Selena said smiling and setting her case down beside the wall. Vero did the same, knowing that they could set up their instruments and tune them closer to the show. "Guter Tag Sie faule Gammler. Or I should say, good day you lazy bums." Emi said walking over to the bar and sitting down on a stool. "Hey Bray. Could I have a vodka tonic? I need something before we do this thing." Walking over elegantly, Selena went straight over to Jamie and put her arms around his neck from behind. "Ello love." She said kissing his cheek then sitting on a stool beside him.

Vero on the other hand could smell the faint smell of wet dog. Giving a face, she walked over to the bar with that sour face until she realized that it was Benji. Vero had completely forgot that her was a werewolf. Straightening her face up so that they hopefully didn't notice, she smiled and sat down at a stool furthest away from Benji. "Hello guys. What you all up to?" She said trying to start conversation. This was a rare thing for Vero, seeings as she was the silent one of the girls. "What does it look like their doing Vero. Screwing around obviously." She said laughing then looking at Benny and winking. "Hallo meine Liebe." She said smiling.

Upon hearing the door chime, announcing the presence of the ladies, The Lost Boys, compromised of Jamie,Benny ,Benji and Jerad all turned their heads to watch them come in, before going back to what they were doing. Jamie were discussing a mini hair style change and such for during the show. "you should try this..." said Brayden in a low voice as he explained that Jay should start off with the ponytail, then undo it, then put a hat on for the other songs. Jamie nodded and gave Brayden a thumbs up when Brayden had showed him the hat.

Benji's nose winkled slightly when he smelt the girls. something was off. way off. He tried to single out each of the smells in his mind to figure it out. after a minute or so, he realize the difference. Vero was a vamp. No wonder why her smell burned his nose slightly. But he didn't make a mention of it. "good day ladies" said the Lost Boys in a harmony. They just wanted to tease the girls. "Sure thing Emi. although if it was a muggle bar or whatever, i would be carding you" said Brayden laughing as he made her the drink.

"hello dear. how are you today?" Jamie asked Selena with a kiss on her cheek back. Benji just laughed as Emi said something in German to Benny. He only laughed because that caused Jerad and Benny to switch spots with each other. Jerad laughed and responded to Vero as he and Benji decided to make a card tower. Benji was starting the bottom, "Just relaxing... what does it look like." Jerad had said.

Benny smiled at Emi and decided that he was going to try to respond in German to show off to her, how much he learned. "Hallo meine schöne Liebe, Emi. Wie geht es Ihnen heute?" He looked innocent as he continued with, "Ich dachte, es wäre lustig zu sehen, wie viel ich durch die Lektüre des Buches war ich Lesen und Hören Sie über die Jahre gelernt, mein Lieber." the guys looked at Benny like they were shocked to hear him talk in another language.

Translation=
1. "Hello my beautiful love, Emi. How are you today? "

Vero couldn't shake the smell. It was just something that she had never experienced before. Looking at Benji, she tried to catch his eye contact and give him a look as if everything was going to be okay between them. They would remain friends even though they had the difference. Then turning to Brayden, Vero smiled and asked nicely, "Could I please have something to drink. Though I don't know if you have what I want." It was something that she didn't want to let out to everyone, but they would learn sooner or later so she might as well. If they caught what she was ordering oh well. They would have to deal that she was now turned into a vampire. "I need my usual. I haven't fed today and I can already feel my salivary glands going crazy. Mustn't attack someone whilst on stage." A small laugh escape from her lips as she tried to quiet down after that.

But it wasn't gone unheard. Selena looked at Vero curiously and then realized that that was the reason that she had been acting so strange. It all came together then, but Selena wouldn't say anything until she could talk to her about it later. Then turning her attention to Jamie, Selena couldn't help but smile when she was in the presence of the guy she loved. "I'm wonderful actually. Haven't gotten into too much trouble with Miss Emi over there. That's always a good day if we don't get in some kind of trouble." She laughing and then putting her elbow up on the bar with her head in her hand. I can tell that you two are excited about finally finding out your brothers. Now do I have to have the awkward talk about 'oh you're marrying my brother' type of thing?" She asked laughing at her comment then bringing it to a smile.

Emi watched the boys switch chairs, but her attention was directed at Bray saying something about her being carded. "And that's exactly why I come here to get my booze." She said laughing then taking her glass and taking a drink. Oh was that good stuff. Favorite drink ever. Then turning to Benny, she was actually quite surprised to hear that he was speaking German. He had learned a lot from the little while that he had been practicing. Smiling, impressed was written all over her face. On top of that happiness. Her vision would actually come true one of these days. That's what really sunk into her skull as she heard the german. "Ah! Sehr gut, haben Sie viel erlernt. Ansehen." She said then continuing on with her conversation with him. Emi was definitely enjoying this because it so reminded her of home. "Ich bin nun da I' ausgezeichnet; m hier mit Ihnen. Selena hier doesn' t mögen riskantes Material und Vero tun. Sie lehnt gerade alles meistens ab. Kein Spaß in dem ja?" Taking another drink, she could feel a bit of the vodka already working on her. Good. She would get a bit relaxed before the show. Singing always made her a bit nervous. "Wie sind Sie gewesen? Ich sehe, dass Sie Jungen Ihre übliche Entspannung tun. I' m regte so auf, dass Sie deutscheres sprechen. Möglicherweise, dass Anblick zutreffend eher als i-Gedanke kommt." She said giving him a wink and then laughing.

Brayden laughed gently and said to Vero, "of course Miss Vero, we still have ye usual in stock. let me go and get it." He went and got the stuff to get her usual drink made for her. Brayden had made sure that the drinks were available for any who needed it. He came back a few minutes later and gave her the usual. "Here you go." He said kindly. Then he asked Selena, "what would you like to drink Selena?"

Jay laughed gently and said, "always a good day when you don't get in trouble eh? and oh yes... Bray says that we have you to thank for helping him realize this? how interesting." He grinned. Brayden laughed as he cleaned a glass. "nah, as long as he doesn't hurt you and you don't hurt him, i am actually happy for you both. as long as you wait until you get out of school Miss Selena."

Benji had given Vero a look that says that they could try to still be friends. although it might be very hard to be friends if they couldn't stand each others' scent. Oh well what a shame.perhaps one day there would be a way for them to get around that. He gave her an uneasy smile. He probably be slightly edgy around her.

Brayden smirked at what Emi said then gave her and Benny some space. Benny grinned at Emi's reaction."Ich bin froh, dass du hier bist. Sicherlich made my day Ihren Besuch. Und ja, nicht so viel Spaß, dass ist da? Wenigstens bin ich bereit für die Herausforderung mit dummen Zeug" he had responded. Then he sipped on his cherry water before adding, "Ich habe gut. Nur mit den Jungs geübt. Wir bereinigt einige der Songs. Kann nicht warten, um zu sehen, ihr Mädchen Reaktionen. Ich dachte, Sie könnten die Tatsache, dass ich lernte es schnell. Schneller als ich eigentlich erwartet, wie . besonders wenn man bedenkt Izzy kam vorbei und erwischte mich versuchen, es zu lernen. " He laughed gently as he thought of it.He gave her a look and asked, "Und wie denkst du bald die Verlobung geschehen würde? Nächstes Jahr?"

Translations:

Quicker than i expected actually. especially considering Izzy came by and caught me trying to learn it. "
3."and how soon did you think the engagement would happen? Next year?"

Laughing, Selena looked at Brayden and shook her head. "Nope. We are going to go elope anytime now. Just like my sister. Huh Jamie?" She said jokingly and winking at Brayden so he knew that she was just joking. "I'll take a water. Thanks Brayden." Looking at Jamie, she smiled and tilted her head to the side. "I'm glad you two finally realized what has been under your nose for years now. I've known that you two had to be related somehow and I haven't been around for that terribly long." It was true, Selena had been able to tell for quite sometime now and she had only been with Jamie for a year. Funny how it was so obvious but yet they were so oblivious to it all.

Vero smiled at Brayden and took her drink gratefully. "Always appreciate Brayden. Really need this stuff when I don't get the chance to go out you know." She said taking a drink of her blood. Oh the feeling of it running down her sore dry throat felt amazing. A pinkish looking color came to her face as she started to look like a normal human being slightly again. Just on the side, Emi was talking away to Benny about random nonsense in German that Vero could catch bits and pieces of.

"I can' t-Wartezeit, zum zu hören, was Sie Jungen herauf Ihre Hülse haben. Ich glaube unserem letzten Lied Sie, die alle ungefähr überrascht sind. Wenn Sie ein Geheimnis definitiv halten können ich, haben Sie Selena, aus ihr Oberteil herauszukommen. Jamie flippt vermutlich heraus aus, wenn es zu diesem Lied kommt. I can' t-Wartezeit." Emiline said ecstatically. Oh man was this day going to be a great one. Then shrugging her shoulders while she took another drink she took a deep breath in and thought. "Oh I didn' t denken, dass es für ein anderes Jahr oder so sein würde. So ja. Ihre Annahme war korrekt."

Just then, good thing that Vero had the glass at close proximity, but she spit her blood back up and started to cough. Did she just hear the word engagement come out of Benny's lips. From the bits and peices that Vero knew, she could decifer something about an engagement. "Who's getting engaged? Are you two getting engaged?" Vero asked her jaw practically to the floor.

1.I can't wait to hear what you boys have up your sleeve. I believe our last song you all will be surprised about. If you can keep a secret I definitely have Selena coming out of her shell. Jamie will probably freak out when it comes to this song. I can't wait.
2.Oh I didn't think it would be for another year or so. So yes. Your assumption was correct.

Benny shot Vero a playful glare and said to her, "hmm? " Oh crap, Vero had seemed to caught on to their conversation. then he responded to Emi with a smile, "Kann nicht warten, sie zu hören. und ich bin sicher, dass alles, was Sie bekommen Selena zu tun, die aus der gewöhnlichen würde Jay überraschen wird können." He let out a laugh. then just what Vero asked earlier gave him an idea. then he came close to her ear and whispered, "Ich weiß, das ist etwa ein Jahr früher oder so ... aber, Emiline, willst du mich heiraten?" Then he backed away slightly to see what her reaction would be.

Translation:
1. "Can't wait to hear it. and i am sure that anything you can get Selena to do, which is out of the ordinary would amaze Jay. "
2."I know this is about a year early or so... but, Emiline,will you marry me?"

Laughing at what Benny said, his point was completely true. Jay would be surprised by anything that Selena did that was out of the ordinary. "mein Freund ist ich muss sagen recht vorhersagbar." With another drink of her vodka, she chuckles lightly as he leaned in to whisper in her ear. Setting the glass down before he could say anything, she listened to what he had to say with a smile and then with a dropped jaw. What! This was definitely not what he vision had in mind. Emi couldn't think, she couldn't talk, she just couldn't do anything. "Oh... my... gawd." she said not speaking german anymore. "Benny Gallagher. Are you just pulling my leg? Because if you are this is totally a great prank. I must say." But something told her that it wasn't a prank. Just she knew it just wasn't. "This isn't a joke is it." She said putting hand over her mouth. Then slowly but surly, not that she wanted to hesitate, she nodded her head and squeal a bit. "Of course!" she said completely and utterly happy. This was so unexpected and she had never had an incorrect vision before.

Benny thought her reaction was amazing. He was going to make a crack about it, that how he shocked the german out of her or something. but he didn't he kept it serious. "of course i am not pulling your leg on that, Emi. since when have i joked about that sort of matter." He shook his head when she asked if he was joking. He wasn't joking, he meant it. His heart skipped a beat or two when he heard her response. He gave her a soft loving kiss before muttering, "good... i am glad" Then he said in a barely audible whisper, only audible to her, and Benji and Vero if they were paying attention,due to their senses. "look down at the drumsticks...but don't show the others yet." in her ear in a soft tone.

All the other guys had glanced at Emi and Benny when Emi freaked out, but then they all turned away. if Benji heard what Benny said, he made no attempt to confirm nor deny that he heard. For he went back to the card stack.

[EMILINE ICELENE GALLAGHER]

Oh if this day wasn't good enough, it had just gotten better. Emi was just ecstatic that she was now engaged to Benny. Everyone was getting engaged it seemed. Love was just in the air. Emi just couldn't believe it. He had proposed to her right here, before the battle and he had actually surprised her instead of her vision getting in the way of things. Feeling his lips against hers, she accepted and reciprocated the love burning kiss and smiled brightly. "I love you Benny Gallagher." She said not being able to shake the bright goofy smile off of her face. Turning her face to him so he could whisper in her ear, she did as he said and looked down at the drumsticks. There was a ring around them out of nowhere and it was absolutely beautiful. Sliding it off of the drumstick, she transferred it to her finger and looked at it beaming. It was beautiful. But for sake of them not finding out, she turning the diamond part into her palm side. "Oh they won't know. I have tricks."

Cassie was terified, completely and thoroughly terrified. She was in her way to the venue where the show was with a dull ache of fear in her heart and what felt like a knock in her stomach. How could this be happening to her? How was this fair? Then again hadn't she accepted it before? Hadn't she been ready to die almost two months ago? Well then she had not died, well she had but she had still lived. Now it was all slipping out of grasp again for her. What was she supposed to do? What was she supposed to tell Benji and everyone else? The general nausea and throwing up was back. She got tired easily and had headaches again. It was like the poison had hidden and released itself in her system again. She might be dying again, in fact that was her fear, it was all too similar in some senses. Still this time there was no blood when she threw up and no coughing, also no fever. She was terrified anyways.

She opened the door and went in, seeing the rest of them there. She looked about as tired as she felt. Immediately she went to Benji first and kissed him on the cheek. "Hey."

[BENNY GALLAGHER]

In truth, Benny never expected to ask her to marry him that quickly. But for some odd reason, He had the urge to, just after talking to her in German for a bit. And the fact it surprised her by beating her vision was another sweet thing in his mind. He finally surprised her. Now the hard part... trying to keep it from the guys and the other girls. Oh gosh, he would be in deep shit if Izzy found out, because he could just hear her now, calling him a hypocrite after what he had said about Jamie and Selena.

Benny smiled at her in a soft loving manner. Perhaps he was getting soft like a pudding pop when around her, but he didn't care. "I love you too Emi St.Claire,and i always will." He said quietly. His mind refused to grasp what he did earlier. Because it felt like a dream to him. Little did he know, the other guys were muttering about something was strange with Benny. All because he was being a little extra overtly loving with Emi. It sorta got the others scared in a way. Would he go so soft during the show?

"let's see how long we can keep them in the dark this time?"He said in a low murmur, just to see how long they could keep their happiness in check, enough to hide the engagement. It wasn't like he wanted to hide it... far from it, but he wanted a challenge.If he wasn't trying to keep it quiet, he would of slipped the ring on for her, but then that would of raised loads of questions.

[BENJAMIN MONROE JENNINGS]

Benji had heard the door open and the familiar scent of Cass filled his nose. He had a small smile appear on his lips as he spun around in the chair to see her come in. But when she came closer to him, he noticed that her scent was different in a way. But not as different as Vero's and thankfully in his opinion, not as bad. In fact her change of scent was quite appealing to him. He wasn't sure what caused the change, but some how it had this pull on him.

He would definitely have some sort of trouble keeping his mind on the music. Not good. But seeing Cass was good. He pulled her into a warm embrace before kissing her back on her cheek. "Hey... How are you feeling?" He automatically asked. then his nose winkled playfully as he mentioned, "you smell different today, but the source, i can't pinpoint" but it was obvious by the smile, that it was a good change. He had gotten up and offered her his spot.

[CASSIOPEIA _____]

She could not help but feel guilty when he smiled at her. Oh God with was terrible, but she could not tell him now, not at all. She could not help it, it was the night of the big concert and she knew that she should not distract him, she had to keep from doing that. She tried to pull off normal, putting ehr arms around him in return and plastering a smile across her face. Who was she supposed to talk to about this? She felt notably alone in this instant and she hated it. There was no one she could talk to about this.

Her heart almost stopped when he mentioned the smell thing. Could he smell the return of the illness. That was strange, he hadn't before. "I.... umm...." She felt nauseous and brought a hand up to her mouth for a moment. Once she felt normal she spoke again. "I am not sure what it could be."

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

Smiling, she couldn't help but be completely elated. This was amazing. The best part about it was that he surprised her. It was completely unexpected and way faster than her visions could catch up with. Benny had definitely done good this time with surprises. Looking at her ring diamond side in her hand, she just beamed and was extremely happy. Something was definitely different about Emi as well. There was an air to her that just seemed... well happy. It hadn't been that way in a long time. Emi had also calmed down a bit off of her wild streak. Before she had been a party animal and was just impulsive to the max. But not since she had got with Benny and joined the band. Those two things consumed her life and made it better.

"Well it's going to be hard for me on the girls side. Selena notices everything. But I shall try my best. When are we going to let them know?" She asked scooting her chair closer to his, putting a leg up on his legs and leaning back against the bar and sideways leaning on him a bit. Just a short while ago they had been known as the lest affection couple, but now look at them. All over each other, just not in that trashy way. It was more cute, like the affection that Emi was displaying here towards Benny. A thought crossed her mind then. What if she went soft during the show. Oh no that would be a bad thing. Or maybe not. One of the songs that she sang would definitely be showing emotion by going soft. Maybe just maybe.
