Beyond Thunderdome {Battle of Bands Part One

At Emi's words, Benny and Jay chuckled. They thought she was being funny.The guys pulled out seats and sat on them with the backs toward the girls. So the guys sat backwards on the chairs and swayed to the music. Jamie loved the song that Selena sang. when she was finished, Jay called out to her "simply beautiful song, Selena"in a honest tone. All the guys applauded her.

When Vero stepped up to sing, Benji backed away into the crowd, so he could enjoy the song without having to smell her vampiric scent. The others stayed in their spots and swayed to her music. They applauded her when she was finished. They were amazed by her.

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

Emi came up next to the mic and situated it so that she could sit down as well. "This song is called Autumn's monologue. Sorry guys. No funny one liner before this song. Everyone say ahhhhh." She said being goofy and grabbing an acoustic guitar. Selena went to the bass and Vero went to the drums. This song was actually weird for Emi to sing, but it was absolutely amazing. "Oh why can't I be what you need. A new improved version of me. But I'm nothing so good, no I'm nothing. Just bones, a lonely ghost burning down songs." She started to sing and actually got a bit of a serious vibe coming from her. This was a song that Emi had wrote a long time ago when she first liked Benny and he was dating another girl. Though no one would know that she had that much vulnerability into a song. Eventually she would tell Benny, just not quite just yet. The song was beautiful and melodic and it was a shame when it came to an end, but Emi simply smiled and nodded her head. Stepping away from the mic, Emi let Selena have the spotlight now. Oh this was going to be good now. This was their secret weapon. "Hey! Put on a low red light for this one please." Emi called out and Selena took her spot back at the stage. "Are you all ready for something that no one has every saw before?" Emi asked the crowd trying to really get them ready for this one.

Standing there, Selena had already had her hair back in a ponytail and it was going to stay like that til a little later. Selena bent over and picked up a cordless mic on the floor and turned it on. "Check. One two. Check. Perfect. Speaking of perfect, this song is called I feel perfect. To warn you now, this was a complete DARE from our very own Emiline St. Claire. Hope you are happy Emi." She said already turning beat red. The lights turned to a red color and the girls started to play their music. But instead of having a bass, they had a bit of synthesizers and Selena was left instrumentless. Looking out into the crowd with a smirk, Selena started to sing her song. "The other day I had to stop and thing. and boy I love the way you get to me. So i take another hit and take another drink." She started and then walked over to the side of the stage, stepping down slowly off the stage and coming around to the front. This is when the Johnson gene would have to kick in. The chorus came on and Selena really tried her hardest to make this seem like she wasn't nervous. Towards the end of the chorus, Selena took her hair out of the pony tail and shook her hair up a bit. Going into the second chorus, Selena looked up at Emi and gave her that look of do-i-have-to-do-this. Emi just smirked and waved her on. Selena gritted her teeth and put on that mask like nothing was wrong.

Starting to sing the second verse, Selena walked over to the guys and bee lined it to Jamie. This was the dare part of this whole thing. Pushing him back a bit so she could sit down, she sat on his lap and put an arm around his neck and continued on to sing. Keeping close to him, she would do the whispering part in his ear, letting her breath linger slightly then smirked. Getting up, she walked behind him and ran a hand across his shoulders light enough to maybe send cold chills down his spine. Emi had a real hard time not to crack up laughing and you could totally tell if you looked up to see her. But Selena was going through with this. Coming back to his side, she didn't want to go through with everything that Emi said to do because that would just be weird. When she had a couple second break between the chorus and the last part, she kissed his cheek and winked at him then sauntered back up to the front of the stage, then to the side walking up the steps and finishing out the song on stage. At the end, Selena was beat red and about started laughing as well. "Thanks guys. Time for us to get off the stage and let these talented gentleman blow you away. There will be a 15 minute break before they actually get to play." She said really happy with their performance. This was going to be a hard battle.

Benny watched Emi play her song. He thought it was beautiful. He thought she should sing like that more often. Benny was taken aback by how heartfelt the song was, and for some odd reason, it made him want to pull her into a hug and to tell her that he loved her. He had looked up at her at the end, and he mouthed the word 'wow' and applauded loudly.

Jay smiled when Selena was up again. He stifled a chuckle when She said it was a dare. But when she started to sing the song, he was completely shocked. His eyes followed her as he saw her going off the stage. The other guys chuckled lightly as Selena had sat on Jay's lap. He was surprised, and he was so going to get Emi for doing this. But honestly, he was blown away by this side of her. Damn her he thought as she ran her fingers across his shoulders.It caused him to get a chill. His cheeks were slightly pinked as she kissed his cheek and left him stunned. He didn't realize the song was done, until a round of applause happened.

When the song was over, Benny and Jay, with Jerad and Benji close behind, went over to tell the girls how great they were. "wow... you girls are totally making it hard for us. Because your set was amazing" said Jerad with a laugh before he went off to find Aurora again. Benji had to hold his breath as he spoke to Vero, "you did a good job singing." then he addressed Selena and Emi, "Amazing as always" then he told Jay and Benny that he was going to meet them back there in five minutes. and he took off as well.

"Emi... that song you sang was beautiful. and i loved all the other songs. Amazing job to all three of you. and good job on stunning Jay with the last song. You actually made him blush." said Benny brightly. Then he was punched in the side playfully by Jay. Jay smirked and said, "er... yeah... that last song... was really something. great job by the way. "He kissed her cheek gently. Sure he probably wanted to do more than that, but it would be not productive to do that in the little time frame that they had.

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

As the guys came up to all of them, the girls couldn't help but smile about it. Even Vero which was rare unless she was around Lucien. "Thank you very much. You guys will do awesome and definitely make this battle worth while." Vero said to Jerd and Benji as they came up and said something. Emi looked back at Vero and her mouth dropped. Grabbing her, she hugged Vero and let a hand go over her hair in a petting way. "You have learned to speak my child! SHE SPEAKS!" Emi said being totally silly. Vero pushed her off and chuckled a bit, then shrugged her shoulders.

Emi turned back around as soon as Benny and Jay came over there to speak to them. "Danca liebe." Emi said to Benny and gave him a hug. She would have to him that she wrote that song a long time ago about him, but now wasn't the time nor place to tell him. Oh well, it could wait til later. Selena laughed at what Benny said about Jamie blushing and she couldn't help but blush herself. "Thanks to your wonderful fiancee, I was blushing myself. I have never done anything like that before." She said taking the kiss for Jamie and it looking like she was still blushing. Damn her pale skin and how it liked to stain from blushes. "Glad you liked it Jamie. I was so embarrassed. Totally don't have to see that side of me again." Oh how she wanted to lean over and whisper to him 'unless you want to' but she kept that to herself.

Instead, Emi spoke for her. "Maybe Mr. Jay wants you to aye?" She said laughing and then looking at Selena. "Maybe we should let these boys get on with it. They have 15 minutes to set up. Unless you two want to use that time to your advantage." Emi was just on a roll tonight. Selena looked at her and completely blushed bright red everywhere all over her face. Not must her cheeks, but her whole face. "Yeah, we should let you two go. You'll do great. I know you will." She said looking down at the ground so they didn't see how bad she was blushing.

Benny hugged her back and said, "you're welcome and I love you" in German (too lazy). Then he heard what Selena said... His eyes widened and he asked, "and how did you know about that?" He asked Selena about the engagement. Jay looked at Emi and Benny with a surprised look. "you guys are engaged?!? since when?" he said in a low whisper. Benny sighed and said in a dramatic whisper, "looks like the cat's out of the bag..."then he looked at Jay with a smirk and said "since tonight"

Jay tried to get over his shock by talking to Selena again, but instead of just normal talking, he whispered in her ear, "no need to be embarrassed. I quite liked it. It was very sexy" He winked playfully. Then he made a face at Emi. "haha very funny Emi... perhaps you and Benny would like to do that." He stuck out his tongue. then he kissed Selena's head before muttering "thanks and I love you sweetie"

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

Emi looked at Selena actually shocked. "How did you know?" She asked very confused now. Benny had proposed to her in german. How had she known? Selena chuckled and put on a playful smirk. "Vero picked it up then sent the message onto me." She said smiling brightly. Emi only laughed and turned her attention back to Benny. "Do awesome up there. I better go sit out in the crowd. I'll try to keep my mouth shut of smart ass remarks. It's so hard though." She said smiling, referring to all the ones she had said up on stage during their performance. "I love you." She said giving him a kiss on the lips and then going off back to the front.

Selena listened to his whispers and couldn't help but be a bit wide eyed. Then smirking, she leaned in close to his ear and whispered back, "Well then. I guess I'll have to be sexy every once in a while then since you liked it so much." she said then looking at him and giving a quick wink. Then as he kissed her forehead, she brought him down into her own kiss on the lips and smiled. "Whatever the outcome of this, I still love you. Thought I may love you a little less for winning." she said jokingly, then stepped away from Jamie and left to go to the front of the stage.

Lucy looked up hearing him and swallowed hard. She bit her lip and smiled as he took her hand. She moved toward him and saw the cross. It made her smile. She took it in her hand and then looked up at him. ”Yes. Well…I found out who turned me and…”[/color]she said and smiled and laughed lightly. ”Thank you for this. It helps. But….”[/color]she said and looked up at him. She would be blushing if she was still alive. ”The cross helps me. I’m doing better.”[/color]she said smiling lightly at him. She rested her free hand on his cheek and smiled.

Lucien smiled watching Vero sing. She was wonderful. He was glad he could come to see this. When she came off the stage he walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. ”You did a wonderful job, Vero.”[/color]he said softly in her ear and kissed her cheek.

Madee had ran to the front and was dancing in front of the stage giggling. She was enjoying this. When they finished she ran over and hugged Emi’s waist. ”That was fun. You guys totally going to win! I know it!”[/color]she said giggling as she then went and hugged Selena and then Vero smiling happily.

Aurora smiled watching the girls then looked up as they finished and saw Jerad coming to her. She stepped to him and smiled. ”You guys are going to do great.”[/color]she said softly looking at him with a smile. She looked up at her boyfriend smiling happily.

Alex looked around and saw his sister and Izzy and Jamie and the guys. He didn't know anyone else around here, and he didn't really want to. He smiled and walked over to hug his sister and current girlfriend. "hey babe, Bells have fun out there, i'm gunna tape it to show K, since she can't be here. She really wanted to be, but her pregnancy and other things got in the way" He kissed the top of Izzy's head and headed towards the seating area. "don't forget to have fun out there, and i'll see you soon"

Alex set up his camera on the tripod and pushed record and watched Selena's band preform, and had it recording. Yes, he recorded it, just in case they hadn't gotten their tv equipment set up already. They were all great, it just wasn't his type of music. Believe it or not, he was more into classical music and ancient other types of music genre.

Benny laughed at how Selena found out. Figures that Vero would of caught on. considering how she picked out the word engagement in his and Emi's talk in German. "i will try my best to do awesome up there. And who knows... we might have some jokes thrown in... or something... you should soon see. " He kissed her back gently before saying, "i love you too." He went off to round up the others.

Jay chuckled at Selena's wide eyed look. He whispered playfully in her ear, "you are always sexy in my eyes." He kissed her back and joked, "oh really... that is heartbreaking. but yeah, i don't care who wins... because this is meant to be for fun." He went along to catch Bray and he signaled the other guys to meet him in the backstage area.

Jerad smiled and muttered, "Thanks... i am glad you think so. sadly, by the looks of things... Jay wants me back in the backstage to go over the set list before we go on. So i will talk to you after the show? and perhaps celebrate, no matter who wins?" He frowned as his arm was caught by Benny and was dragged off. But he blew a kiss towards Aurora before being dragged backstage.

Soon enough... the four Lost Boys and Brayden were backstage discussing the set list. They had asked Brayden to help with the songs, since their extra person had been sick. Bray reluctantly agreed, for he was the only other person besides Krispin that knew the instruments and the music for the songs. He didn't like to show off any musical skills, but he knew he was needed.

After five minutes, the guys, fresh from their discussions, were setting things up on their stage. There was now at least five different guitars and basses, a mandolin, a keyboard, a trumpet, the percussion set which included Bongos and hand drums. The regular drums set, a flute and couple egg shakers.

by time they were finished setting things up, Benji was already lounging behind his drum set twirling the sticks in his hands. Jerad and Benny were tuning the guitars and Bray helped out by making sure the keyboards was working and in tune. When the song was going to start, Jerad would be over by the keys and Bray by the percussion. but they had few minutes before they start.

[KARA ANITA JOHNSON]

Kara had gotten a bowl of food from the kitchen that she had mixed up earlier. It was mostly fruit and veggies. Yea she had cravings, but she wasn't going to just dive in and eat all the sugar she could find. She hated sweets and wasn't going to give into the temptation of it all. Having the remotes next to her as well as a bucket for when she got sick, she turned on the tv and waited for the camera men to announce everything and start filming.

She knew that the boys would probably be a bit mad at her, but they would thank her later. This was publicity for them, and it was thanks to her, the world would get to see how amazing these two bands were. She watched the girls preform and really liked them, she didn't think she had ever heard her sister sing before, or her friends sing. She waited for the boys to preform, and had this whole thing Tivo'd, so that she might show them after it was all over.

Soon enough it was time to start for the guys. Bray had handed Jay an acoustic guitar and Benny a bass before heading over to the percussion area. Jerad had taken his place at the keys. Jay had a hat on but it would soon be removed. But not yet. He, Benny and Jerad all adjusted the microphones. Just then the spotlight flickered to Jay as he spoke into the Microphone. "we, the Lost Boys welcome, our unofficial Lost Boy, Brayden, My brother, to the stage" The light followed to where he was pointing to. then the light came back to him. "our first song, happens to be a favorite of ours... Orson Brawl. written about a person we knew. "

Jay gave the signal and Bray and Benji started the song with the mini drum echo and Jerad was clapping the beat. Benny was bouncing about. Soon Jerad came in with the Keys and Jamie and Benny came in with the guitar and bass combo.It soon was time for Jay to start the vocals, so he came in with,

After that part, Jay took off his hat and tossed it aside and continued singing.

Then it went back to Jay again for the next two stanzas. He was really getting into the song. It was obvious that they were passionate about the song.

Well actually just Jerad and Jay switched it up. Jerad let Jay take over the keys as he grabbed an electric guitar for the next song. Benji adjusted the Microphone next to his Drumset so he could sing and play his drums. He thought since it was his song, he would announce it. "so yeah, this next song is called Fearful."

Jay,Jerad and Benny began playing their instruments It had a nice funky sound. The key changed and soon Benji started in with his drumming, bouncing as he did so. He started singing it. His eyes were closed .

Izzy looked up and smiled seeing Alex come to her. She hugged him back and nodded understanding. ”I will. I promise. Plus I have to corral little Madee or else she’ll go rock out on stage.”she said laughing lightly and smiled at her boyfriend. Taking a deep breath she nodded. ”I hope she enjoys it. You have fun taping.”she said and when he kissed the top of her head she closed her eyes then nodded. ”I wont forget. I’ll see you as well.”she said as she went back to Fauve.

Izzy sat there with Fauve watching the bands break for a moment. Madee then ran to the front and jumped around listening to the boy’s play. She was having so much fun. The first lost girl is what Izabella had come to call her daughter. Madee loved the band and loved rocking out and dancing. She always enjoyed coming to their concerts.

Aurora looked up hearing him and nodded. ”Sounds like a date. Alright. I’ll be waiting for you.”she said winking at him then laughed lightly watching him frown as Benny dragged him off to set up. She caught the kiss and blew one back smiling at her boyfriend. She was so happy with him.

Paix was behind the bar taking drink orders. She had decided to help since Bray was helping the boys. Rushing around she took the orders and made the drinks passing them out as she went. Paix glanced at the stage as she watched her fiancée and smiled.

[FRANKLIN JACOB LONGBOTTOM]

Frankie roared out in cheer to the bands and clapped his hands. He was greatly loving the show and he looked at Lucy carefully. Wanting to keep an eye on her, not only because she was vampire close to bloodlust, but because he cared about her. He frowned at her and wondered what's wrong. "You don't look too well, Lucy." he said, concern written on his face. He soothed back his hair, caressing it with his fingers as he tried to figure out how to help her. He looked around and made sure to look casual. It was lucky the bands were playing so most of the people were busy with the Thunderdome event.

"You want to go outside, Lucy?" He asked her calmly as he wondered how he was suppose to keep her safe. It was like forbidden pleasure with Lucy and he was bitten by her vampire kiss long before she became a vampire. How was he suppose to let her go? He didn't want to or know how to, but right now she has him.

Fauve smiled as she sway in her seat to the music. Both bands were excellent and she would loved to join in the musical festival. She watched Madee the most as the girl had the time of her life, dancing and just having fun with the Lost Boys. "She's a little lost girl, no?" she looked at Izzy, smiling happily as she spoke her native tongue.

***during tuning their instruments***
"When did you find out about Brayden being your brother?" Vivi asked Jay, watching him tuning his guitar. She was leaning against the stage and looking at Jay with his guitar made her long for her own. It was one of those things that had brought them together in friendship. She loved singing, songwriting, poetry, and playing guitar whilst Jay loves music so they're friends.

She saw the resemblances between the two and knew they were relative. Why didn't either of them knew beforehand? Yvonne pondered with that at a later time. She looked at the other boys. "Love your tails, boys. Now do I get one?" She ventured with a smirk. They were cute. "Madee is talented." She looked at the girl and wink to her.

Vivi looked at Paix, Professor Hennigg, and Brayden. They looked a bit miserable, but then Paix did want to change Bray's hair color to hot pink. She believed the professor didn't want to get Paix's wrath in his face and found himself with pink hair too. She shook her head and sighed before looking at Jay.

Vivi cheered on her friends as they sing. She stomp her feet as she shake her groove thing to the beat. She smiled and laughed with joy. No cares for the world except for the rocking of the music and singing. She sung to the words lowly and did a high kick in the air. She clapped. "Keep going, dudes!" She showed the peace sign and laughed as she tripped into a chair. She decided to sit down and still chuckled at what just happen.

"Aurora!" she cried to her. "You're one lucky girl!" She pointed to Jerad and winked at her.

Dante stood by where Bray was and looked at Paix as she help at the bar taking orders. He looked at Bray and shook her head. "Man, she's one hot girl, but she's very scary." He whispered to his friend. And yes, he was afraid that she might do vengeance on him and dyed his hair. Dante stroked a hand through his hair, cringing a bit. "She wouldn't really dye somebody's hair in revenge, would she?"

*** During the Tuning***

Jay didn't look at Vivi, because he was concentrating on tuning the guitar. But he still was able to respond to her. "recently actually... Paix and Selena both pointed it out so many times... that Bray and i thought that we had to do a dna test, to shut them up. and apparently it came back that we were indeed brothers." He went back to tuning the thing."ask our favorite little 'Lost girl' about that" said Benny with a laugh.

**** Present****

It was the instrument switch before the third song, It was going to be the song that Benny had written secretly for Emi. The Keys were going to be left unattended as Jay was playing his Mandolin, Benny was going to play the guitar and Jerad was going to play the bass.

Bray had barely heard what his good friend Dante said but he did and he smirked before muttering as they got ready to play the next song, "that she is... but i still love her anyways. and who knows... she might be that evil to do that to you... so i would say watch out" Benny adjusted the microphone and spoke into it, announcing the song and such. "this next song is called Shywater... and i wrote it,and it was because someone who i love dearly inspired me." He had looked directly at Emi with a loving look before he gave the guys the signal to start playing. He jumping in with his instrument as well. At the right time, he came in with the vocals.
