Beyond Thunderdome {Battle of Bands Part One

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

SORRY I HAVEN'T POSTED! I WAS TAKING A BREAK!

Emi looked at her friend and sighed. "Guys can be very stupid sometimes. He'll see what he's missing though. They always do." Emi said trying to make Izzy better. It was hard to see her friend so down like this, but hopefully there was something they could do to cheer her up. "If you need someone to kick someone's ass, you know you can always count on me." With a wink, Emi smiled and really tried to get Izzy to feel better. Glancing over at Benny when she heard a tamborine played, she saw that Madee had one and it was absolutely adorable. Smiling, she turned back to speak to Izzy, but found that she might just want to be left alone. "If you need anything holler for me okay?" She said and gave her a hug. Getting up, she went over to where Madee and Benny were and heard them saying something about a monkey tail. "Did you dare them to wear monkey tails for the concert and they didn't do it? Oh this is unheard of, the guys turning down a dare. Interesting." She said laughing and sitting down beside Benny again. Then she saw the monkey tail in his hand and laughed. "I knew that you couldn't turn down a dare. Specially from Madee. I mean, hell I wouldn't turn one down, she just too cute."

Veronica smiled as Lucien held her tightly. It was great to finally have someone as great as him. She let a hand run up and to the back on his head, running slightly up his hair. "I'm glad that you did give him some. I would be famished and there would probably be an accidental blood bath here. That wouldn't have been good." she said giving him a gentle kiss. "This should be a great battle. I am singing one song, though I rather not. I'm not a singer. Just a bass player." Vero liked to stay on the outskirts of the lime light. It was just her personality. But the girls had talked her into doing a goth rock song just so they could have diversity.

Selena watched Jamie get up and leave, then looked around to see their instruments over at the corner just waiting to be tuned. Going over, she picked up her guitar case and turned it over. Crouching down, she opened it up and took the guitar out, walking back over to the bar and sitting down on a stool and leaning down close to listen to her guitar. Plucking each string one by one, the sound was soft but audible enough for her to sit there and tune it. Wasn't much to tune though. Selena turned around and set her guitar down on the bar, far enough so it wasn't in the way of anyone's arm room. Gazing over to where Jamie was, she just smiled and leaned back against the bar. All she could think about is how lucky she was to have her life. It had went from hell to heaven and it was just awesome.

[BENNY GALLAGHER]

Jamie had saluted her and pulled out his tail that Madee had given him. But he was being silly by using his animagus form's tail to put his fake tail on. "happy now?" He had asked Madee with a laugh. Benny chuckled and nodded. "yeah you should. "He grinned when he saw Emi come over."oh no... we weren't refusing,hun. we were just asking for clarification. and we were waiting for the right moment to put them on." He shook his tail in an attempt to make Madee laugh.

['' XANDER BRANDON MOUNT]

Madee watched him and giggled watching him put his tail on with his real tail. She covered her face giggling. ”Yes. Very.”[/color]she said giggling then hugged Emi’s waist when she came over. She looked up and nodded. ”I made their tails! They cute.”[/color]she said softly looking up at Madee. Looking at Emi, she smiled breathing. ”I did tell them to wear it to night.”[/color]she said the laughed as Benny shook his tail at her. She giggled and covered her face. She couldn’t help it. She like it when they made her laugh.

[JAMIE MADDOX]

Brayden laughed and said "pink is not my color... and you know that. Hot pink would look better on say... Jerad... than me." to Paix then he excused himself. He went over to the stage and called the bands to the back so they could discuss how things were going to go down. He waited for them to come back there.

Benji sighed and kissed Cass's forehead before heading over. The other guys left their conversation partners to come back to the back. Jay and Benny's tails swinging behind them. Jay had made his real one hide again so only Madee's fake one was showing.

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

Madee was just too adorable. Giving her a hug back, Emi was about to say something when Brayden asked them to come backstage. Sighing, she headed over there, but stopped to wait for Selena and Vero to catch up first.

Vero let out a heavy sigh and kissed Lucien on the lips. "I gotta go. Shows gonna be going soon." Letting go of him reluctantly she went over and stood with Emi waiting for Selena.

Selena smiled and was absolutely ready to start up the battle. Picking up her guitar, she walked over to Emi and Vero and nodded. All three of them walked backstage with Brayden and the guys. "So what's the plan Bray?" Selena asked softly.

[JAMIE MADDOX]

When the guys reached backstage with Bray and the girls, they were as attentive as one would expect from those guys. For once all the guys had their eyes on Brayden. Bray looked between the boys and the ladies. then he said, "ok... the plan is this... I would introduce both of the bands... then the girls will go first. they will do six songs... then a 15 minute break... then the guys will do their six songs. then another break before the group song and both encore songs. the order of the encore songs will be decided after both sets. You think you all can handle this? and the audience will be voting for the winner. the winner shall get a contract with a big label."

The guys were fine with that. Girls ought to go first in their minds. First of all... it was only proper...ladies first and all. second of all, if the girls went first, they would know what to expect... and to try and beat them. and being last was great because they would be the freshest in people's minds.

[BENJAMIN MONROE JENNINGS]

Benji had smelled a familiar scent and looked to the door to see Fauve come in. He greeted her with a quick hello and a wave. The other guys greeted her as well. Jay and Benny had greeted her in French, and Jerad just nodded a hello.

Bray smiled when he saw his old friend Dante come in. He laughed and said, "not a whole lot... besides the biggest event of the season for the Second Star... the Battle of the Bands" He gave Dante a handshake, their way. "it's Jay's fault." He said jokingly. Jamie jumped slightly at the sight of his professor. "well Professor... it is a long story. But long story short... Housemates, to coworkers... and apparently... he is my long lost brother" He took a sip of his water. Bray laughed and said, "yeah... what Jay said... and no, he isn't bothering me... yet. although i think he and my fiancee are planning something bad..." He shuddered as he thought about the pink hair idea that Paix had said

The guys all chuckled when they saw Vivi. Mostly because they remembered the trick they played on her a few weeks earlier. but they all gave their good friend a hug and went back to what they were doing.

[YVONNE GWENDOLEN SHACKLEBOLT]

Fauve nodded to Izzy at hearing this, and it was a good idea to have a girls versus boys match in music. Sounds fun and enchanting to her and it would be good for either band to get a contact in the making of this duel. She looked at Madee with her antics and smiled before looking at Izzy. "That's great. I wish them both luck." she responded in French since her English wasn't that understandable. She nodded frowning. "Yes, but I should be there to help you." She said sadly. She smiled and squeezed Izzy's hand, allowing her friend to relax on her. "I'm not going anywhere, my friend."

Vivi chuckled at the tails, and couldn't stop laughing. She slapped a hand to her knee in laughter and soon held her chest as her ribs seem to be busting. "Ow! Those look good on you," she complimented the boys. She looked at Professor Hennigg, Bray and Jamie. She looked from one to the other. "You're brothers?" She turned to Brayden and Jamie. "Really? You're not kidding me, are you?"

Dante shook his head after Bray and he finished their handshake and frowned. "Well, don't worry. I'll make sure Paix and your brother won't touch your hair." He patted his back before holding out a hand to Jamie. "And Maddox, if you think about doing pink on your bro here. You answer to me." He lean and whispered in his ear. "Purple looks better on Bray."

[♥ IZABELLA JADYN JODINE]

Paix looked at Dante and glared. ”Excuse me but I can do what I want. I’m gonna ask Jamie to help me out…well actually I’ve already paid him. Oh Brayden. It wont kill you I promise. Plus whatever happens at you bachelor party is suppose to be fun so enjoy it.”[/color]she said hitting Bray’s arm lightly then glared and looked at Dante smiling. Laughing lightly she looked at Dante. ”I think hot pink is Bray’s color.”[/color]she said before running her fingers through Bray’s hair.

Izzy looked up at Fauve and nodded as she watched Emi walk off. ”Honestly I hope they both win.”[/color]she said softly then looked at the table. Madee ran over to Izzy. ”Mere, will you put my tail on for me so I can go play with the band?”[/color]Madee asked Izzy. She laughed and nodded taking the tail from Madee and clipping it on her tutu. Madee looked up. ”AUNTIE FAUVE!”[/color]she said hugging Favue smiling brightly. Izzy laughed lightly then looked at her. She nodded and looked up at her good friend. ”Good. Because I need you.”[/color]she said softly then looked at her oldest daughter as she thought about the two little girls she had lost.



Lucy sighed and looked up at the building before her. She wanted to escape from the pull of Sebastian and had followed Frankie’s scent to here. She didn’t want it to seem like she was following him. But he had also scented two vampires and two werewolves here. She took in the clean air that hit her and stepped inside the venue. Looking around she saw all the people and smelled all the blood. She whimpered lightly seeing a small child and wanted to leave then her eyes fell on him. The amazing person she was in love with. Licking her lips and swallowing she wandered over to him. ”Hi Frankie….”[/color]she said softly standing there innocently looking at him. She glanced down at the floor scared of what he’d say to her.

The girls listened intently as Bray explained what was going to happen. Emi had her drum stick out that Benny had given her and being the hyperactive, unable to stay sitll person, she hopped up and down in place. Selena looked at her and smiled. Emi could never stay in place. Then turning her gaze over, Vero was standing there obediently. Silent. Selena couldn't help but notice something different about Vero, something off about her. Skin was oober pale, she never completely smiled, always stayed out of the light. What was wrong with her? Maybe just a phase. Oh well. Turning back to listen to Bray, Selena was about to say something, but then Emi piped up. "Let's do this shit." Emi said way too ooberly excited. They had the upper advantage. First band, first impressions. They would get the crowd rolling and get them pumped up. They would leave the crowd blown away then they would all be ready to go home. Making the girls the winner. But in the girl's eye's they didn't care who won. Both bands were awesome.

[JAMIE MADDOX]

Jay laughed and said "hmm i might agree with the professor here... Pink really isn't his color... but i would love to dye it. " He really didn't hot pink would suit Bray at all... Paix was crazy. He smirked lightly. Bray looked at Paix and Dante like they were nuts. "don't even think about it." He said glaring at Paix. "i rather like my natural hair color. and i don't need to be changing it." Jay laughed lightly as he looked up at Vivi. "you think? Madee made them. but i prefer my real one... so i can jab people with it." then he rolled his eyes. "oh no Vivi... we are shitting you... of course we are bros... can't you see the resemblance?"

Benny caught a glimpse of Emi bouncing about. He would be bouncing about too, but he was trying to save his energy for on stage. then he would be like a gigantic ball of energy. He would be trying to get the crowd pumped and dancing around. He glanced back at Bray as he heard what Emi said. Benny then looked at the guys and muttered as a joke, "let's Get fafunkified."

Bray nodded and led them out. The guys would stand on the wings while Bray introduced the bands. then they would find seats to watch the girls. Brayden grabbed the microphone and said, "welcome Ladies and Gentlemen, young and old... Welcome to our annual Battle of the bands. This year, we have changed the name of it to 'Beyond Thunderdome' for the theme. This years participants will be competing for glorious prizes, such as the Golden Microphone Trophy and new this year... the winner of the battle will win a contract with a recording company. And how will they win you might ask? You vote at the end of the group song. then after voting ends, both bands will preform one more song, and then the winner will be announced." He took a deep breath and said, "so... you guys ready to rock? Our participating bands will be, the girls of Hey Monday, versus the Guys of the Lost Boys. The girls will be up first, of course because you know what they say... Ladies first." Bray placed the microphone back where it belongs and went off stage.

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

This was the moment they had all been waiting for. The most anticipated concert of the year. Before going out on stage, Selena went over to Jamie and gave him a sweet kiss. "I love you." She said smiling and then looking over at Emi. Emi looked at Benny and gave him a wink then looked at Selena and nodded. "Ready girls?" she asked and both of the others nodded. "Let's go." The lights dimmed down to a very low setting and the girls walked out picking up their instruments. A spotlight went down on Selena and she held the mic smirking out into the crowd. "Hey everyone. We are Hey Monday and you all better be ready to rock!" Selena said enthusiastically. Stepping back, Selena started to play the beginning on her guitar while Emi did her normal thing to try to pump up the crowd. Grabbing her mic, she looked out into the crowd and pointed to all of them. "You better all get up on your feet and everyone should have a bit of brain damage one were through with you. Now come on!" At that que, the whole band went into their first song, really getting to it. Selena kept her eyes out on the crowd, jumping up and down on some parts and just really being enthusiastic. Vero, of course just did her bass thing and Emi was going crazy back on the drums. When it came to the softer part of the song, Selena stopped jumping, hair amiss and grabbed the mic close to her. "Homecoming, I'm coming. I'm coming back." Then went back into the enthusiasm that they had two seconds before. The girls did absolutely amazing on this first song and they couldn't wait to get the crowds reactions. But there wasn't time for that. The song came to an end and Selena looked out into the crowd and smiled. "That song was called Homecoming. We hoped you liked it. Our next one will be sung by our very own Emiline St. Claire. This one's called 'I'm so sick.'"

Emi got out from behind her drums and went up to the front taking the bass from Vero. Selena stepped back with her guitar and Vero went behind the drums to do this next song. "Okay. It's time for all ya'll out there to stop snoring and get up here, and I mean right here," She said pointing to the front of the stage. "And at act like you want to be here. Okay? Oh and by the way. Give it up for our lead guitar Selena, a friend of mine, a friend of yours, a friend of everyone's... Not a friend of yours, though." She said pointing at a random person in the crowd. "Sadly she hates you, and it's actually a bit strange that you chose to stand right at the front." With a laugh Selena started in on the music and Emi grabbed the mic off the stand quickly, bending over to belt out a scream. "I will break! Break! I will break! I'm so sick, infected with. Where I live, let me live without this emptiness selfishness. I'm so sick. I'm so sick." She continued on, moving around the stage, but when it grew slower, she settled down until it got to the chorus where she started to rock out hardcore. This was so much fun, more fun then they had ever had, especially since they had so many songs this time. Emi was just a crowd pleaser up there on stage and she was just having way too much fun. But the song started to come to an end and Emi put the mic back up on the stand, Letting the spotlight go to someone else then.

Jamie smiled and kissed Selena back quickly and told her that he loved her and he also wished her luck. Benny winked back at Emi with a smirk. Then the guys scurried over to the audience area so they can watch the girls. They all ended up dancing about to the girls songs.Sure the guys had the drive and such to want to win, but it was hard to deny that these girls had alot of talent. At the end of the first song, the guys... namely Benny and Jay clapped the loudest. They were enthusiastic about the girls' songs. When Emi sang... and screamed out her song, Benny watched her with a loving and amused look on his face. when she was finished, when the song finished, the guys called out "way to go!" and other encouragements of the girls.

[FAUVE CHIMERE ROUSSEAU]

Frankie looked around and spotted her. Lucy. The woman he was in love with and now she was a vampire, but still he loved her. He smiled at hearing her voice, and he thought to himself all the questions about how their relationship would go now were push to the front again. He braved the concerns back and looked at her again. "Hi Lucy..." He greeted and calmly took her hand tenderly. He wore a cross on, but it was more to help Lucy out if he met her than to harm her. "You seem anxious." He looked around and noticed it was probably because of the people around them. Lucy was most likely having a hard time with hearing the bloodflow in everybody's veins including his own. He cursed to himself.

Fauve smiled at Izzy and was about to say something when Madee yelled 'Auntie Fauve' and smiled, hugging her back. "Madee. So glad to see you!" She laughed happily and held her close for a moment. "Always," she whispered to Izzy in French, smiling. She gave her an one-armed hug.

Dante winced at Paix and backed off. "Oh, come on, Paix. Hot pink isn't for him." He exchanged a look with his friend and smiled at his fiancee. He shook his head and sighed, not sure who would win the war of the dyed hairs.

[SELENA.ISABELLA.JOHNSON]

Looking out into the crowd, Selena smiled brightly seeing that the guys were giving their support to them. It was great to have this friendly competition and especially when they could have the fun like that were having right now. Emi went back to her drums and grabbed the mic, having to add one more word. "For this next song we would like to dim the lights. Feeling a bit romantic. Or better yet, turn all the lights off and grab the closest person to you and snog them." She said jokingly and Selena looked back at her. Vero looked at Selena and nodded her head lightly. Selena grabbed her acoustic guitar and a stool. A soft spotlight came down on Selena as she pulled the mic down so she could sing as well. "This next song I wrote about a year ago about someone that really change my life. This goes out to you." Smiling she looked right at Jamie then back down on her guitar and started to strum. "You're the direction I follow. To get home. When I feel like I can't go on, you tell me to go. And it's like I can't feel a thing, when your around. And don't mind me if I get weak in the knee's cause you have that effect on me. You do. Everything you say, every time we kiss I can't think straight. But I'm okay. And I can't think of anybody else who I hate to miss, as much as I hate missing you." She sang out and just continued on with the song. This song was Selena's heart and soul and it definitely showed with the way that she played and sang. Hopefully it would really go out with that much emotion as she was feeling at the moment.

As the song came to an end, Selena made her last strum then looked out to the crowd with a smile and nodded. "Thank you." Putting the acoustic up and the stool to the side, Selena moved out of the way. Then something very rare happened. Vero grabbed an electric guitar and moved to the front mic. Selena moved back to the drums and Emi switched to the bass. "Don't get too excited people." She said with a chuckle, the sarcasm coming out a bit in her speech. "This song is called the Howling. One of the few songs that I will actually come preform. So get your ears worth." THis was just something that Vero didn't do. Preform singing in front of everyone, that was just something that wasn't heard of. Emi and Selena were the personalities of the band, not her. Oh well, this better go good.

Vero started out singing a bit nervously, but as the first verse came along, she forgot where she was and just belted it out. Surprising how much could come out of that quiet little girl. But it was sure an amazing site to see. The song was longer than the other ones they had preformed, but it seemed to be over so quickly to Vero. The song came to an end and Vero didn't say anything, but instead set the guitar back down and went back to her rightful spot with her bass.
