Prison Break{those involved

[BENJAMIN MONROE JENNINGS]

It was evening of the full moon. and for once in a longest time, he had to go without the potion. The guards hadn't let Jay in with the potion for they thought it would be something else besides wolfsbane.So Benji planned to make his escape tonight in wolf form. He had already put a wolf in the cell.and he had found a way to escape through the dirty laundry. Some how along the way he had managed to tie the books and left over chocolate and such into a sack and tied it to his leg so when he went out it was with him.

It was dark when he finally managed to get outside of the walls. Just as he stepped closer to the edge, the moonlight hit him. After howling in pain, he jumped into the cold icy waters and swam as fast as he could. It would take him a good... three hours or so to cross the water to get to the other side. Little did he know, the Minister and a few guards were hot on his tail.

He finally made it to land and hurried along the streets. So far he was resisting ripping out people's throats. But who knows how long that would last. He was coming up to London without realizing it. He was coming close to Jay's new apartment. Oddly enough Jay had been showing Benny ,Jerad and Cass the new apartment and was about to show them out when Jay spotted Benji.

Jay stood there in shock as he pointed Benji out to the others. He muttered to the others, "i'm not seeing things am i?"

Cass was struggling, floundering more like. She worried constantly, worked constantly, studdied constantly though she didn't know why. She was trying to keep busy, though what she really needed to do was rest. Still she could never manage to do that. She was trying too hard as usual it seemed, but reall she was just trying deperately to distract herself. She could not let her mind wander and wonder about Benji. She hated to think about that, about him in that place.

She had followed the guys in a sense, as she had spent much of her time in the apartment, well most nights. She slept in Benji's empty bed and she cooked and cleaned. She didn't want to impose or anything of that like. She just needed him back for herself to feel better. She was terrified as it was. Since he had gone she could feel an occasional stab of pain across her abdomin.

Now she had been talked into seeing the new apartment, and she was barely paying attention. She kept wondering about how she and Benji could have had something like this and now he was in the worst trouble of either of their lives. She could not even really be close to him. The Guards had stopped letting her see him, though she had not said a word of this...

She was ripped from her thoughts as Jay said something. She went over and looked down out of the window, immediately recognizing him. It was Benji in his wolf form. Her eyes widened and then she tore out of the apartment, running full tilt out of theapartment and down the stairs. She burst out onto the street.

"Benji? Benji!"

Benji had heard his name being called by Cass. His wolf ears twitched slightly as he paused. His human side was trying to overrun the animal side. He laid down on the ground.His eyes looked over at her. Since it was a few hours until the moon would head back behind the clouds, he was slowly regaining his normal human mind.

The guys chased after Cass. "Cass... Wait... He's not safe... he didn't have his potion today" Jay called out to her. They were trying to catch up with her. Meanwhile the Minister was on the other side of Benji a block away. a theoretical safe distance that he could watch without being in much danger.

Cass did not think she had eve run so hard in her entire life. She just wanted to get to Benji, to protect him befoer anyone found him and to make sure that he was safe and alright. It did not occur to her about his potion, because in her mind he was not dangerous, not one bit. She just wanted to be near him. He did not look dangerous, not at all. She ran, but paused when she heard the yells. What were they saying to her?

Then she understood, he had not taken his potion she nearly laughed at that. "He isn't dangerous, he isn't." She turned to ru away from him again as things went on a they did. She was unaware of the ministry position nearby.

Benji was so tired from the hard journey from Breaking out of Azkaban, then that long swim against the current. plus the long run. It was quite surprising that he hadn't passed out from exhaustion yet. So he didn't moved. He was just laying on the grass by the sidewalk that had a bench near it. He could hear the ministry official hiding, but he paid him no mind. It wasn't worth it. He just wanted to have this night over with. he wanted to be in Cass's arms again.

He thought Cass was crazy though... completely disregarding the danger of it all... He supposed that love could prevent him from harming her. but was it wise to risk it ... not really. but then again maybe it was a way to prove that he wasn't dangerous. He stuck out his tongue and panted alittle. it helped him get alittle more energy.

Cass broke away again. She could see him, some distance away still. She could not see the ministry or that they were waiting, ready to kill if need be. One woudl thing that she would ahve stayed away for her sake and for the sake of the unborn child, but something in cass knew that they were wrong, completely and totally wrong. He was not dangerous, he was not going to hurt her. He had a million chances before to do that.

She very nearly skidded across the ground, nearly loosing her footing on the damp cobblestones. She wanted into the grass and dropped to her knees next to him. In a moment she had dropped to her knees and burried her fingers and face into hsi fur. Her arms were wrapped around him. "Benji." She said it happily into his hair.

Benji's eyes narrowed as they followed Cass's movements toward him. then soon enough he felt her bury her face in his fur. It felt good and bought back some other memories. He howled happily and wagged his tail a bit. Acting more like a dog than a wolf there. it was obvious to the other guys that Benji was happy to be with Cass. but they hadn't come closer though. they had thought to give the two some time. the minister had been watching the scene unfold. He was quite surprised. But wasn't convinced yet. so he kept watching.

Cass just hugged him for a few minutes. She was so glad to be there with him, to be close to him. That made her comfortable. Still she was aware that he could potentially be dangerous. That worried her, he could be violent, though she did not beleive that he would be. She petted him then and looked up. Then she saw the ministry operatives lined up. She quietly moved around him, putting her body between him and the ministry people, creating a barrier, small though it might be.

Benji looked at Cass, worried about her reaction. then his eyes narrowed in on what he had sensed earlier. The Ministry was there. He wasn't going to go back. or at least he wasn't gonna go back without a fight. But he wasn't in the mood for a fight so he just stood next to Cass, on all fours. then he licked her hand playfully before rubbing his head against her side. It was obvious that he didn't want to leave her side. especially to go to a dank place like Azkaban. No way in hell he would want to go back.

Cass was not sure what to do at this point but she knew they could not stay here. She knew that the ministry was watching and that it was probably only a matter of time until they advanced on them and took him away again. She felt like they could retreat, and she stood like he had to look at their options. One end was blocked by the ministry, and the other by the guys. She didn't dare bring him near either. It made her heart break a little, and she looked at the moon. They weren't going to touch him in this form, but as soon as he was exhausted and human... She bent down and burried her hands in his fur. "We're stuck love."

The Ministry didn't know what to do. they waited for a signal from the minister. but the minister was too much in a shocked mood to give them one. He stared at Benji with his mouth agaped. This wasn't possible... was it? a Werewolf actually not attacking someone when she was that close.

Benji whimpered in fear about the minister, and the fact that Cass said that they were stuck. He just wanted to go home, with her and the guys. back to where he felt safe. Jay went and transformed into his tamarin form. Then Jay, followed by the other guys slowly made their way over. Jerad and Benny figured that if Jay thought it was safe, then it was.

Jay ended up on Benji's back with his duo toned tail swaying off the side. The others sat about a foot away from Benji and cass. The other ministry people backed off, still keeping an eye as the Minister bide them go. Benny looked over to the others and said, "why don't we all go back? Benji must be exhausted right?" at that, Benji nodded.

Cass was completely on edge as she stood there net to Benji. it would be so easy to be hit by any curse right now. She did not want that to happen to either of them. She was scared but she was going to have to let that go for right now. It was more important that she stay strong and stay focused on what she was doing here with Benji. She looked at the moon again, she figured it woudl set soon but what did she know? Not too much, not much at all.

She heard a whimper and she whispered to Benji again. "Hey, hey, it's alright, you're going to be fine, just fine." She was not sure how she was going to make sure that was true. Then there was a flash of gold and Jamie was there. She gave him an appreciative smile.

Then the other guys were there. This was important. It was good that they were seeing tha the was not dangerous either. Then there was Benny's suggestion, and she wanted to nodd but she shook her head. "No, no this ends tonight. This ends now." She turned sharply on her heel and walked the 50 yards quickly, spotting the minister. "I told you! I told you he isn't dangerous you bloody fool! You coward."

Even though Benji was exhausted, he hurried, with Jay on his back and the others right behind them. He was trying to stay close to Cass, even if that mean being near the minister. The sight of Cass storming him had no effect on his outside, but his insides felt sick. But seeing Benji coming up behind, he fell backwards. He really needed to get over this blatent fear. Or get out of the ministry.

Jerad stood near them and said, "the wizarding world would find out about your cowardice either way. but would you rather be known as a coward who kept a werewolf from the love of his life and his child and friends, or would you rather be known as someone who is understanding and sees the error of his ways. My parents could paint you as both... or worse. so you better let my friend go. He didn't do worse than many of the people who walk free. He just protected those who he loved and saved his fellow werewolves from someone who could make life harder for them all.You would have done the same thing as he did if you were him."

The Minister didn't like being talked to that way. but they did have a point. that there were worse people walking the streets than Benji. That may be true... yes i am coward. you have caught me. but it still doesn't excuse him from killing someone. But then again, as you all seem to be pointing out from the beginning... it was some sort of a protection deal huh? and young Mr.Astor is right, there are worse people out there than Mr.Jennings here... " The look on the minister's face was one of considering.

Cass didn't ahve to say that much as Jerad spoke up. She owed him for this one, she really did. He had power that she did not have anymore, given that she had been disowned. Sure she had been taken in, in a way. That was not good enough to be honest. This was not good, this was all a mess. She was upset and she could simply nod along with what Jerad was saying. She knew that the minster was a coward, sure of it in fact. She knew it. She knew she should control herself but she was boiling with anger.

What the minister said just made her boil over. She looked at him, anger burning in her eyes. She clenched her fists slowly. She was so over all of this. It took her a few breaths to get out what she wanted to say.

"You basterd. You complete fucking basterd. When are you going to end this witch hunt? That's what it is, and everyone knows it. All of the evidence shows that what Benji did was in self defense. Zach attacked him and you are willing to turn a blind eye to the right sort of justice because you are afraid. Here's the math. It was three lives verses one, two of which are not werewolves. I am not going to let you punish him anymore because you discriminate. Here is what is going to happen then. You will free Benji and clear him of everything. You will reppeal the legislature that is discriminatory to werewolves and you will make the law fair. Most of all you will never bother my family and I, ever again. If you don't do this, so help me god I will make him bite me and then I will come find you. Then you will actually have something to be afraid of."

[JERAD AUSTYN ASTOR]

Since Benji was still in his wolf form and Jay was still was in his monkey form, and Benny had nothing that was worth saying, Jerad was the voice of the guys. "if you don't do what Cass here is telling you, with the freeing Benji and repealing the clear and apparent speicest legistation, i fear you sir shall be overthrown by someone who really deserves the top spot. Even though i am no seer, i can predict that there would be even bigger uprising than before if you don't give into our demands of letting Benji go back to a normal life. " His tone was the fiercest it ever been.

Jay was screeching in agreement and hopping up and down on Benji's back. Benji was too tired to swipe him off. and besides it felt like old times with him there. But when Cass said the last bit, he had gave her a clearly crazed look. He was trying to say she was crazy if she wanted him to doom her to that sort of fate.

The minister looked between Jerad and Cass. then he finally spoke. "well i don't like to be threatened by either of you. But i see i was mistaken about Mr. Jennings here.I will free him, but he has to come to trial. not for the death but for breaking out. but he will just recieve a fine. then i won't bother you all again... unless need be."
