It was a chilly afternoon before the break for winter would start. And some how, if one looked hard enough, they would have spotted Theo just staring off into the distance on the docks. He was meant to take a trip during the break but he wasn't sure he wanted to go. But he was sure that he didn't want to stay there for the break either. H was just conflicted. He could see the Giant Squid off in the distance. it had broken through the ice and had one or two of its arms swaying about. He kept his mind focused on that instead of the increasingly cold tempurtures around there.But he was used to cold weather.

Izzy looking down as she walked. She was still in pain from what happened. As she walked she shook from the cold but didn’t care. She was depressed. Looking down at her feet as she walked she walked on in the winter. Izabella just wanted to go home. She missed her wonderful France. Wishing deeply that she didn’t have to come back but being the champion for her school she had to come back. Staring at her feet she found herself on the dock and stopped. Looking around she looked up seeing Theo. ”Oh. Bonjour Theo. What are you doing out here?”she asked softly in a sad french voice of hers.

Theo had contemplated jumping off the docks and skate on the ice but all thoughts of that stopped. He glanced up with a curious look,"oh hey Izzy... i was going to ask you the same question"his half smile vanished once he realized her tone wasn't happy. "what's wrong Izzy?" he asked in his odd accent which was oddly more Australian than Bulgarian today.

He genuinely cared about his friend Izzy, so therefore he had to ask her if she was ok, even if her tone suggested that she was quite obviously not ok. He patted the spot next to him, offering her a place to sit down. And he also offered his services as loaned ear to have her talk and he listen. He would also offer a hug. He finally answered her question by saying,"just was out here to get away from some people."

Looking up at him she blinked and sighed. ”I needed to think.”she said softly then sat next to him. ”I was thinking about the baby again. What it would be. What it would look like. You know…all that. I…actually wanted it. I mean…I know me and Alex weren’t together but…I wanted it.”she said softly blinking away a tear then took a deep breath and shook her head. Licking her lip lightly she sighed. ”I understand.”she said softly to him.

Theo listened to Izzy's words silently. He knew that it meant that she had been pregnant but regrettably lost it. he felt sorry for her in a way. but then again, She had other children, Madee and the twins who needed their mother's focus. He pulled her into a gentle hug. "i know it might be a tad bit mean of me to say this, but it doesn't do well to dwell on what might have been when you have Madee and the twins if Alex lets you near them, who needs you to be there for them. "

He had removed his arms from her, thus breaking the hug that he gave her. "yeah i know it is a tragedy that you loss the most recent baby or rather whatever you want to call it because it wasn't born... I know you loved he or she or perhaps them... Because that is just the sort of person you are. which is a good thing." He looked out at the iced lake.

It was probably rude for him to say the things that he had said, but he was trying to get her mind off the tragedy of the miscarriage and focus on the miracle of her other kids. The ones who WERE alive and NEEDED their mother. NOT a shadow of their mother.

Izabella sat there and hugged him back then heard him and wanted to cry. She had been trying to stop it but she couldn’t. It was her baby. Apaprt of her. Theo didn’t know what it was like to carry another being inside him. Izzy had carried four now. It broke her heart because she didn’t know if she’d ever get to see the twins again. It was a fear of her. She had lost them once. She didn’t want to lose them a second time. As she sat there she stared at the water. ”Theo…I know where your coming from but…you’ve never carried another living being inside you. You never can understand. It may have been a fetus but it was apart of me. You have no idea what it’s like.”she said and looked away from him wanting to cry.

Theo sighed and said, "Well of course i don't know what is like.... geez Izzy... no guy truly knows how it feels. and i am for one... grateful because i don't think i would be able to handle it." He shuddered. "but you should be grateful for those who still are around you. be grateful that you have at least one that thinks the world of you." He really didn't want to see her mope around although he could understand why she would. It must not be easy to deal with a lost of a child. but then again, if it was so hard to deal with... then how come there was alot of people actually wanting to get rid of their kids. He just never could understand women.

Looking at Theo she shook her head. ”Theo…since you saved my Madee you have changed. What happened to you?”she said looking at one of her best friends. Sitting there she looked at the water and then bit her lip and covered her face and sighed. ”I want my Theo back.”she said before standing up and looking down at him. ”Please.”she said and turned then looked at him. ”Come to her party. Be uncle Theo. Don’t be this….this stranger.”she said looking down and sighed. ”You need to understand. I can’t just give up on an unborn child that never had a chance to live. I wont probably get to see the twins ever again and Madee is my pride and joy. I can’t live without her. I’m sorry.”she told him sighing.

Theo looked at her oddly. He had changed? that's odd... he didn't feel like he had. "Izzy... what the hell do you mean i have changed?I really don't think i have changed... although maybe you are right that i have changed." He sighed and continued "you don't know all the stuff i went through... to save your precious little Madee. I had to send her away with Benny so she wouldn't be near me when i was violent with those guys who hurt her. Damn It... I had to do something i am not usually comfortable with. I had to kill them. Those bastards had no right to live after doing what they did. "

He looked down feeling ashamed of himself. "i'll still go to her party... if you want me to. and i do understand in a way. but you shouldn't drown yourself in sorrow about it. i mean think about it Izzy... would the little angel want you to mope around at his or her non being? the way i see it... It was meant to be born at another time not now. so the spirit went back inside to bide its time until the opportune moment."

Izzy looked at him and sighed softly shaking her head. ”Why didn’t you tell me? And the person that really deserves to die is the head bastard. He has ruined both our lives. It has taken all of us to get back to where we are today. I hope from now on we can stay clean. Can you promise me that like you made me?”she asked bending next to him. Leaning forehead on her knees she hugged him. ”It will mean a lot to her Theo. You have been like a dad to her. She loves you.”she told her best friend then heard him and sighed nodding. ”I guess. Hopefully the baby has a damn better father then that bastard that got me pregnant in the first place and didn’t even listen to my side of the story before breaking my heart.”Izzy told him looking down at her hands in her lap.
