Bianca Matthews did not dance. Could not dance. This was common knowledge amongst her closest peers. These were events she tried to avoid. She had been conned into leaving the safety of the common room tonight to go to the Yule Ball. Cheated, forced into doing it. Okay, there may be a bit of over exaggerating there. But, really, she had been talked into it. Alex had asked her and after some persuasion, she decided it would be easier to accept and give in than refuse and have Kara come after her. For two weeks she had practiced with Alex and Kara to keep herself from looking a fool. And Bianca had actually laughed a few times; a pregnant dance instructor was quite the sight. She would have to restart, but it was too difficult to resist.
One of the few times she cursed living in the dungeons was when she had to wear dresses. She had the annoying task of holding them up, so they didn't drag all along the floors of the dungeons. The annoying sound of her heels click-clacking was soon drowned out by the excited chatter of students from three different schools. She sighed and dropped her dress at the top of the stairs. While Bianca looked just as all the other girls did (but better, of course), dressed and dolled up, she still felt out of place and hardly herself. First and most importantly, she was in a dress and heels that would probably begin to hurt her feet sooner rather than later, as she was not used to wearing heels. Her hair was curled, pulled and pinned back and she was wearing more makeup than on a normal day. Bianca took more time in the bathroom getting ready than she cared to admit. Should anyone ask, she would lie.
What was she supposed to do now? Maybe she should have waited in the common room or something. Then she wouldn't be standing alone near the opening of the Great Hall, unsure of what to do with herself. With no pockets or anywhere to put her hands, she glued her arms to her sides, and out of anxiousness and impatience began cracking her knuckles. "Damn," she muttered. She should have just waited in the common room. It would have been a better idea altogether.
outfit: dress and the rest.

Alex and Kara had spent two weeks almost with every waking moment trying to teach Bianca Matthews how to dance. It was nice getting to do something with her other than sit around the common rooms doing nothing but chatting, or plotting. Alex had waited from the bottom of the grand stair case, he saw his lovely sister in her beautiful dress and she'd walked in with her husband. Alex saw Bianca imerge from the top of the dungeon stairs, she honestly was a vision of beauty. Alex hadn't ever really seen Bianca in a dress other than when she modeled for Kara in the shoots.
Alex walked towards the Great Hall entrance and smiled, he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with this woman. When he reached her, Alex wrapped his arms around her and whispered in her ear. "you look simply stunning my dear" he had been thinking about telling her how he felt for awhile now and he thought it was best to just get it out. Alex needed the persice moment to tell her three words, eight letters, and give up his heart forever. "lets not waste all that time we spent praticing, you owe me at least one dance, love" Alex kissed her cheek and lead her out on the dance floor.

Bianca only hoped that she didn't forget everything Alex and Kara had taught her, that she and Alex didn't go to the dance floor and her mind went blank. Oh, how she would hate herself and what a disappointment. So if only for Alex and Kara, she had to do this. Just suck it up and at least try. She had been repeating and re-envisioning the dance steps in her mind when Alex joined her. And her mind did, indeed, go blank when he did. Bianca had seen Alex dressed up for a few occasions, but she had never been the reason as to why. She couldn't help but smile at the compliment. "You clean up pretty nice yourself."
She frowned slightly at the prospect of actually getting out onto the floor. "Right." And one dance was all he would get. Bianca would not let Alex talk her into any others.. no matter how many times she avoided stepping on his feet, though it was sure to happen once or twice.. or more. Nothing was going to work. "One, that's it." she eyed him after her kissed her cheek, attempting not to smirk or smile, unsure if she was failing or not. "Flattery will get you no where, Johnson."

Alex smirked in his usual way and led her onto the dance floor. He knew that she probably wouldn't remember what him and his sister taught her over the last two weeks, but it didn't matter because he was a strong lead. A strong lead could lead even someone with two left feet into a dance and have them look stunning. The more Bianca spoke, the more Alex had realized that he had changed after meeting Izzy, but they had broken up and he was with B now. Too bad all Alex could think about was Izabella, his Izabella. No, she wasn't his any longer. After their dance, Alex excused himself and went back outside the great hall. He needed to clear his head and focus on his date, Bianca, not Izzy. Alex took the flask he had inside his dress robes and chugged a long drink. The alcohol wasn't helping and if that wasn't helping, he knew nothing would. So Alex turned to face the window he had been leaning up against and looked out into the stars. This night truly couldn't get any worse, Why was he so conflicted and why did Izzy have to have this hold on him. They weren't together any longer, he just needed to keep reminding himself of it and maybe, just maybe he would start to believe it.
