It had been a while since Selena actually got to be at the house to cook a home cooked meal. It was nice for a change, even if the Hogwarts food was delicious, it still couldn't beat a fresh home meal. Several pots, mixing bowls, pans, and all things of the sort were out. But at the moment, Selena was trying to bread the chicken. Walking over to the pantry, she grabbed some flour and brought it over to the counter. Setting it down, she tried to pull it open, but it just wasn't budging. "Oh come on." she said to herself and gave a hard tug. The bag opened sure enough, but the flour went all over Selena and all over the counter. Coughing, she stepped out of the cloud of flour and looked at the mess that she had made. Oh well, would just have to clean it up later.
Once the cloud had disappeared, she went back over to the counter and started to dip the chicken in the flour. This was going to be a surprise for Jamie when he got home. Hopefully he would like it cause this was a dish that she had never made before. But a little experimentation was always good. Once all of the chickens were covered, she put seasoning over them and bread crumbs and popped it in the oven. Turning around, she put her backside on the edge of the counter and sighed. Finally, everything was getting cooked and should be finished soon.

Jay had spent most of the day playing catch up with an old friend who decided to come back to the band, AJ. or as he liked to call him, Jakey. for 'Jakey' had decided to come back and actually work at the venue. He soon came home after bidding his brother and Jakey goodbye. and he didn't go back to the Lost Boy's home... nope, he went to his and Selena's home.
He loved spending time with Selena, but even with the band on hold until Benji's release, he had been busy. Busy with shifts at the venue and the hospital... and not to mention finishing up the rest of his essays before winter break. But he finally got some free time. He walked into the house and smelled something cooking. He smirked and placed his bag down and hurried into the kitchen to give Selena a hug.
"hello hun." he said with that innocent grin of his. "smells delicious" he said about the food as he gave her a hug and a kiss on her cheek. "how was your day?"

As the door opened, Selena's usual smile popped onto her face. The sight of Jamie actually here in their home made her feel amazing because she hadn't had much time to be around him. Between his shifts at the hospital and other things it had just been a very stressful time. Specially with Benji still in Azkaban. That was really something that had taken it's toll. But when he came in and gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, she couldn't help but let all of those thoughts flee from her mind and just hug him back. Keeping her arms still around him, she leaned back a bit so she could face him and gave him a kiss on the lips. It had been a while since she had been able to do that.
"My day was alright. Been actually pretty much fixing food." She said smiling at him with that smile that could light up a whole room. "I've missed you. I haven't saw much of you lately. Need to turn that damn beeper off for a day or two." She said laughing and giving him another kiss.

Jay smiled and said, "I missed you too hun" He kissed her back softly. He then laughed at what she said before the second kiss. "yeah... a vacation from all the stress is definitely needed. no cells for me for the next few days. so i can spend more time with you than being pulled everywhere. " It was like he was being pulled in too many directions. He needed a break. Winter Break couldn't come soon enough in his mind.
"i had to help get Jakey settled in the venue. He finally came back. he was supposed to have been back earlier... but yeah... then i had the shift at the venue. i am lucky they didn't call me to be at the hospital or i wouldn't be able to spend time with you." said Jay in a bitter voice. he hated being too busy to be with Selena more. He didn't know how she could put up with this.

The idea of no cells or even no way of outside contact would be nice for a while. "We could always hide away in here for a few days. Get rid of all sources of outside contact." The idea sounded amazing because Selena was really wanting some time to just her and Jamie. But it wasn't all Jamie's business that caused them not to have time to their own. Selena was also busy with the girls trying to get ready for the recording they had scheduled soon, so Jamie wasn't the only one to blame. This was just a bump in the road that they would have to get over. "But I totally understand that you're busy. We can get time to spend time together here and there. I understand." She said sincerely.
Jakey? Raising an eyebrow, she was wondering who Jakey was. Obviously she hadn't met this person. "Who's Jakey?" She asked curious. Hm, she guessed she would meet this guy sooner or later. When Jay said something about the hospital calling in, she shook her head and laughed. "Then I would have to call the hospital and tell them that you can't come in today because you have some very important business to attend to with your fiancee." She said kindheartedly, but knew full and well that she would do it. Giving him another hug, she looked down at herself and then to him and noticed that she had just gotten flour all over him. "Well aren't we a mess?" She said laughing at the sight.

Jay laughed said, "that sounds perfect to me. i would love to have a in home vacay. to get away from it all and just to spend time with you." but he knew that any vacay that they could have wouldn't be any time soon.He sighed gently at that.He smiled at her and said, "Jakey is also known as Aaron or AJ. He is a friend of mine. He was in the band but went solo but he is coming back to the band as well." he laughed lightly at the fact his friend was coming back.
"oh yes... i can just imagine their reactions. They would assume that an important business with you is something inappropriate." he rolled his eyes playfully. He hugged her back then he laughed at the fact that they were both covered in flour. "yeah... that is funny that we are a mess... but i don't care."

Oh. So the Lost Boys had another member. That sounded really awesome actually. But where would they put him as? They already had four members in the band. They would figure something out though. Just like Selena would figure something out about a vacation. "Well just take one starting tonight. Call in both places and tell them you are taking a weeks vacation. You need it love." It was true, Selena believed that Jamie needed a break. He just was running around all the time and never got the chance to just sit down and relax. Maybe get a back massage, something just to help him get the stress out.
Laughing at his comment, she totally agreed with him on what they would think about it being inappropriate. "Let them think what they will. The imagination is a fine thing. Maybe they would get a thrill thinking about it." She said laughing again and giving him another kiss. For some reason she just couldn't keep her lips off of him. Too tempting she supposed. "Plus it's none of their business if we are doing something inappropriate. I am your fiancee." She said smelling the aroma's around them. They were delicious and the flour on the two of them reminded her of the chicken that was cooking. It was far from done though so she didn't have to worry about that.
Letting go of Jamie, Selena put her hands on the counter and hopped up on it, letting her feet dangle off of the side. Putting a hand out, she touched his face and ran a hand across his cheek. "I love you." She said with a loving smile.

Jay was about to protest to what she was saying, but then again, he did need a break. where would he be without her looking out for him? probably six feet under."oh alright.i will take a break.only because you suggested it." He laughed softly. He chuckled at what Selena had said. "yeah. i bet they get a thrill out of it" He smirked before kissing her back. then he said, "agreed. it is our own business. not theirs. "
Jay smiled gently at the feeling of her hand brushing across his cheek. "i love you too. always will." He kissed her hand after grasping it. then he hopped on to the counter. "it's great that we have our own home together."

Smiling, Selena was so happy that he had accepted the idea of a break. "I'll call if you want me to. They won't be able to say no with me on the line." The kitchen started to really fill with the aroma's of all the food that was being prepared. It made Selena' stomach growl with excitement that they were going to have a great home cooked meal. Taking a deep breath to take all the smells in, she as well watched Jamie get up on the counter beside her and she leaned over and put her head on his shoulder. Scooting over, she cuddled up against him and closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of him as well as the kitchen smells.
"It is pretty great. Get to have some alone time together and don't have to worry about getting a place later on. Plus, I get to come here to see you every evening when you graduate instead of having to be in the castle." She said really excited about that fact. They had given a concession to them since they were engaged and Jamie was graduating before her. It was a great concession and she couldn't believe that they had actually let them. "I missed you so much Jamie." She said looking up at him and smiling. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she pulled herself closer and basked in the comfortableness of this.

Jay smirked and said, "go ahead if you want to the one who calls me out" That made him chuckle. That she was offering to call for him. he supposed that it meant that she really thought he needed it.Maybe he would defer to her more often. Especially if her ideas get them more time together.
He nodded and said, "yeah... nice and private. and we wouldn't have to move...unless in the future we want a bigger house."He meant that last part as a way to say if they wanted kids or whatever, they could get a big house. He smiled at the idea of her coming home to him every night after classes are done."that is the great thing. something to look forward to each night... the chance to see you and to hold you in my arms."
He could smell the food being cooked. It smelt very delicious in his opinion. Just the smell of it made him hungry. So he tried concentrating on other things. He hugged her gently as he told her, "missed you too... so very much Selena."

Oh did the thought of actually calling them up and telling them that he would be taking a break sounded so tempting, but she knew that it had to be him that was the one to call. "Well. I would, but I'm sure they would love to hear it from you more than me." If she called, he could get fired or something and that just wouldn't be good at all. Well at least he wouldn't get fired from the venue, but from the hospital. That wasn't something that needed to happen in the least bit.
A bigger home in the future? Oh that could only mean if they did have kids later on in life. It was feasible. Selena did really want kids after they were married and settled down and able to support a child. Plus, with the inheritance that Selena had, it wouldn't be hard for them to get a much larger home. But for the mean time, this apartment did them justice. "Well I hope we stay here for a while. I really love this apartment. It feels like... home. Just perfect." She said still holding onto him. The feel of his body heat was amazing since Selena was normally always cold even in a hot place. With the mention of his holding her in his arms every night, it made her smile and think of how they were at the very moment. "I like you holding me. I feel safe in your arms." she said looking up at him.
As he hugged her back, she couldn't help but just have a bright smile spread across her face. Looking up at him, she put a hand on his cheek and pulled him down lightly into a soft kiss. Her eyes fluttered shut and she held him there in the kiss, taking in all of the moment. Her hand ran across his neck and to the back of his head and up into his hair, still giving him that soft gentle kiss.

Jay laughed and said, "oh i know... i was just kidding about you calling them. i will call them later. right now i can't be bothered with them at the moment." then he nodded and said, "yeah it feels like home. especially when we are in each others' arms." then he smiled softly. it meant alot to Jay to hear that she felt safe in his arms. "that's great because i feel safe and wanted when i am in your arms."He kissed her back gently. He loved her kisses and basically couldn't get enough of those sweet kisses
