Draco stood there looking out over the grounds of Hogwarts. He began reflecting on his life. Remembering that he had always said he wouldn’t turn on like his father he realized that that is where he was headed. Hearing that his son had been treated horrible growing up he had no memory of any of it. He had treated his son so well. Done anything for him. He would even sacrifice himself for his son. Draco hated being told what to do and being told that he had harmed his son just killed him. He never touched his boy. Swallowing he looked at the cigarettes he had in his hand and took a deep breath. Pulling on out he placed it in his mouth and lit it quickly. Leaning back against the wall he blew out the smoke that now filled his body. Draco knew it was time but he honestly didn’t want to do it. Breathing deeply he looked up and turned around before looking back over the grounds. ”You need to do this Draco. It’s the only way.”he said softly putting out the cigarette and tossing it out the window. Turning he walked down the stairs and walked out onto the grounds. He looked around and swallowed as he looked at it. ”I love you….”he said softly as he took two envelopes and out of his pocket headed for the owlery. Walking in he saw his sons owl and gave a letter to it and giving it a treat and told it to go to Astoria but he decided to wait to give Scorpius to him later. He finally got away from the grounds and apparated home still smoking. He took a deep breath and stood inside the living room looking out one of the many windows. He wanted to get his son back. Kara needed to see Draco again,, after their last incident, well things just didn't go as smoothly as they should have. She also came by to apologize. honestly she hadn't really meant to be that cruel to him, but it was just in her nature. Kara didn't know why, and she was sure that Scorpius would find out and yell at her or something to the effect. Oh well, marriage was rough, you'd think that a marriage would be so perfect, but really it's trying to get along with your life long mate, without trying to kill each other, or get at each others throats all the time.
She laughed at the thoughts in her head and drove to the malfoy manor. Kara didn't want the driver, or the guards, or really any press. Lord knows after all that has happened with her family.... no. She wasn't going to think about any of that, not at all. She told herself as she went up the road in her '67 impala. Her favourite car, having at least four completely different cars to choose from and then she had the limo and her driver. "i'm his daughter in-law... he's home and expecting me" she told the gate staff.
After they had opened the gates, she drove up quickly through the straight driveway. Parking her car out of the way, so that it wouldn't be all scratched up and she walked to thr front door knocking. Kara just might be able to help the old man win his son back. It wouldn't be easy, and she still didn't really trust him, but she'd at least give him one chance to explain everything. An all out heart to heart, after all they were family. outfit here

Standing there blowing smoke out of his mouth he stared out the window into the distance. He waited for Kara and took a deep breath blowing out smoke. Leaning against the window seal he placed the cigarette back in his mouth and watched the grounds below. Soon he put it out as his head fell back against the wall as he awaited his daughter-in-law. She was his last chance to get his son back. Hearing the car he walked to the door when he heard the knock and sent the elf away saying he would answer it himself. Opening the door he smiled seeing Kara. ”Kara, it’s nice to see you again. Thank you for coming. I appreciate it. Please come in.”he said moving to let her in. In the living room the elves were working hard to get the smoke out. Draco figured they would need to go to a different room which was why he had them prepare the family room.

The man should have known better than to smoke right before she had come. Draco truly was an idiot, Why she had even come she had no idea. She really just wanted to apologize and be done with the whole matter, but something told her that wasn't going to happen. "so the Malfoy Legacy continues... i see you have house elves, can they leave when they want? or are they contrated, and Don't Lie to me Malfoy" It probably wasn't the best approach, but she couldn't help it. She was trying to turn her cold spark off.
At least she had people working for her, she wouldn't ever inslave little magical house elves, not that she prefered doing things the muggle way, but she just found it more normal. Kara walked through the doors of the Manor. Looking around at the eliquent insides of the house, it was very rich, to rich for her tastes. "yes, well i'm here, lets just get down to business, what's so urgent that you have to talk to me about?" in other words, why did he want to talk to her at all, but she would give him at least some effort for trying to be nice. She still thought it was all a facade. Kara waited for a responce, movement gesture or anything, she wanted to get off her feet.

Draco stood there looking at her then licked his lips lightly and looked down hearing her. ”They can come and go as they please. Unlike my father I do not keep them as slaves.”he said softly and gestured for her to go to the family room with him. He walked with her watching as she looked around. ”Well…I was hoping for your help. Ya see…I have been thinking about everything I have been told. I mean…what I have supposedly done to Scorpius.”he said to her and took a deep breath looking down. He knew she probably didn’t believe him. It seemed no one did. No one ever believed Draco and he was always telling the truth. He wasn’t even sure if his own wife believed him. He didn’t even know if she loved him anymore. There was nothing Draco had been able to do. He was a puppet on the strings and he was finally cutting the strings. He knew he had to be free from everything his father had been doing.
