a snowy sort of freedom{James

Jay had to get away from all the stress that he had. So he bolted out of the door of the entrance hall. Once outside he had noticed that it was snowing. It had just started snowing few minutes ago so there was a barely there film of soft snow on the grass and the marble. Jay had jumped off the Marble staircase and landed in the cold grass in his Tamarin form. He scampered off towards the forest just so he could relax and hang in the trees.

His small paw prints on the ground got covered up by the snow. It had started to get heavier. But it didn't faze Jay when he got into the forest. The trees were so dense that there was no snow on the ground there. He climbed up one of the trees and ended up relaxing on one of the sturdier limbs. His tail was hanging off the limb. There was some days that Jay had found solace in his form. And today was one of those days.

Snowy days were the best day to parade about the grounds in his caribou form. They were animals made for the snowy weather. James had been outside by the lake waiting for it to snow. The lake was frozen over. He stood near it tapping it with his hoof, as if he was trying to crack the ice. However he had no such luck with that. That was when it started to snow. He shook his head as the snow started to collect on his antlers. He shook his head trying to get it off. However when it started to snow heavier, there was no use in keeping up the head shaking. Even more so when the rest of him was starting to get covered.

James shook his whole body off then he made a dash for the forest. Caribou might have been made for snowy weather. And mountain's but James could only take so much snow, before running for cover. He trotted into the forest dodging a few small animals, and a centaur that just looked at him oddly. Which made James want to stick his tongue out at him but he chose not to. He didn't want to upset the centaur anymore, then he already was. He trotted along his way. Until his antlers poked something hanging down from the tree. He looked up squinting at. This was not an everyday animal in the forest. He just stared at the Monkey like creature for a moment before remembering who it was. Which made James half tempted to knock him out of the tree. Instead he trotted around the tree a few times and pushed Jamie with his antler.

Jay was quite comfortable in the tree. He was comfortable enough that he was about to fall asleep there. But sadly for him, he couldn't get to sleep. All because, James had come around and started poking him with those outrageous antlers of his. Jay sighed in his form and mentally rolled his eyes. He had pulled his tail up and held on tight to the limb as he hung upside down to get a better look at James.

"is there any particular reasoning for poking me with those antlers of yours, Potter" Jay had asked in a lazy tone. He had only used James' last name because it was just too odd for him to call him by his first name, when their first names were so similar. He had spoke in that special way that animaguses can communicate with each other.For some reason he had the urge to jump on the back of James, but he didn't he just was comfortable in the trees.

Besides there was only one person he liked riding while in animal form and that was Benji. Mostly because it was quite entertaining to ride on him.It was like riding on a horse..or a bucking bull... or better yet like a dog.Or all three mixed together. He missed that.

James shook his head. Snorting out air though his nose. As he trotted around the tree. In someways he felt a bit jealous. He couldn't climb a tree or fly about or anything cool like that. Just trot about and what not. The animal chose the wizard.. and the Caribou was the one that chose him because it fit his personality best. He scratched his hooves on his trees before he finally answered the question. "Sorry Jam, forgot you were a monkey for a moment. Didn't know what you were..I don't have the shaperpest vision in my animal form" He told him back.

He finally stopped scratching at the tree leaving some off marks in it. He'd seen Centaur's doing that. Which was where he got the idea. I think it was there way of marking for something James didn't know nor did he really care much. He stretched himself on the ground. "What brings you out here in the snow Jam?" he questioned, finally after a moment. James was a curious fellow liked to know what was going on around him. In all forms. Just a natural thing, for him. He waited for the answer as he stretched some more.

Jay did a monkey's version of a chuckle before saying, "it's alright. i mean my form isn't the most normal kind of Monkey especially around here... and i totally forgot that you can't see too sharp in your form." He relaxed on the limb and looked down at James. "you sure that you weren't trying to knock me down..." He bared his teeth jokingly.

Jay yawned and said, "just wanted to escape from the hassles of classes and such and to enjoy the fresh falling snow." Then his eyes darted around before asking, "what about you? what are you doing in the snow."

James stopped stretching. A she listened to Jamie. He stuck his tongue out at the monkey. "If I was in trying to knock you down.. well I think I might have tried harder" He teased him. With a kinda cheesey grin. He wagged his little nub of a tail. And let out a yawn. He felt like a nap. Perhaps he might take a nap, in his caribou form it had been a while since he had in fact done that. He stretched a little more before he spoke again.

"aye the same as you only I was going to try and ice skate on the lake.. but its not as easy as I thought in hooves" he told him with a slight chuckle, as he pranced his hooves doing a little kind of dance.. He only dared to step out on all fours once before it started to snow hard, and nearly fell down on stomach. At ,least he could dance. James was in fact good at dancing in his caribou form. He danced his way around the tree twice, before stopping in front of Jamie again.

Jay screeched out a laugh and said, "oh right... good point. I guess if you really wanted me down, i would be down on the ground" He scurried into the trunk and grabbed a bag that he stuck some berries in. then he dragged it onto the limb he was on before. He leaned against the trunk and popped a few in his mouth. Then once in a while he would chuck one at James.

"of course. I would imagine it would be hard. it is a good thing you didn't get stuck. Because no one would like to have a frozen caribou Pottercicle now would they." He said lazily. His eyes followed James dancing. He thought it was funny. "i bet you are a better dancer in this caribou form than your human form" he teased.
