Benny was sitting on the docks in thought. Life had been quite odd in recent days. The Battle of the Bands changed his life in a way. Sure for the more obvious reason about more fans and something about the bands are both in legitimate musical contracts... Which meant more fans. But that what he wasn't thinking about. His mind was on other stuff. One of which was the fact that he actually beat out Emi's vision and proposed to her that night... but he wanted to see how long they could keep it a secret. But obviously it wasn't that long. Because few days later... the gossip had gotten ahold of it.

He could only imagine some people's reactions. So far, it seemed like good reactions, besides the fact that some were quite disappointed. both in the fact that he was engaged, and that he didn't tell the people before the Gossip Witch got ahold of it. One of the persons that he hadn't had a chance to talk to since the event, was Izzy. One of his closest gal friends. and definitely one of his older friends since they were friends before school started . He couldn't remember how long he knew her but it was longer than many of his friends.

He was quite scared of what she would think. Not that it really mattered what anyone else but he and Emi thought about the thing... He still held Izzy's opinion's in high regard. Which is why he wished that he got to her before the gossip, but alas he didn't.

Izabella was furious. She had read the gossip and was on a raging search for Benny. Her best friend. Her brother. He hadn't told her he was engaged. She had to find out with thousands of people. Looking around she took a deep breath and looked toward the dock. Growling lightly she walked up behind him and pushed him off the dock. "HOW DARE YOU NOT TELL ME YOURSELF!"she yelled crossing her arms as she looked at him. Izzy wasn't happy with him. She was happy for him but she was no where happy with him.

One minute he was nice and dry... the very next he was pushed into the icy cold water. He sighed after he swam back to the surface. Even though he was freezing, he stayed in the water. He gave her a death glare before responding with, "Uh Maybe have you thought about it, that i didn't want anyone to know right away? Gawd Izzy... If it wasn't for the gossip... most people wouldn't know until next year..." He crossed his arms as well.

He climbed up the ladder to get back to the dock again. It wasn't the fact that he didn't want anyone to know. Because hell he loved the fact that he could talk about it freely. But He wanted to see if any secrets were safe. But obviously not. "if i had my way, i would of told you myself... but it wasn't my fault that i couldn't find you in recent days... and i didn't tell you at the Battle, because i wasn't ready to announce it to the world."

Izabella glared at him angrily. "You could have sent me a message to come talk to you. I mean...you know I would come. You are like my brother Benny. You should have told me. Not ze damn gossip girl."she said looking at her best friend still being angry with him. She glared unhappily. "You know better. Benny....it is fair. You should have told me. You know how much I care about both you and Emi. I am happy for you but I am not happy with you."she said looking at him. How could he try and keep a secret from her? She wasn't happy with him.

Benny looked at her with an insolent look. "I wanted to try my hand at finding you without letters or whatever. and what part of i wasn't ready to tell anyone don't you understand. I mean fuck... i should have the right to keep my love life somewhat out of the radar of gossip and such. I should have been able to tell people on my own time... and not to be FORCED to tell right after. " He hated having his love life being out there for everyone to see. Sure, he may have been a bit obvious with the song and such but still.

"it isn't fair that i have to be an open book for people. and i was going to tell you when i was ready to. But the damned gossip girl found out and blabbed it to the world before i was ready. Before the gossip thing, we were trying to keep it a secret. and i was going to do a public engagement thing. The only reason some of the others heard about it before you, was that Vero over heard me asking, and apparently she knew a few words in german and she told Selena. Then Selena made the mistake of announcing it in front of Jay. So if it wasn't for that, the world would still be clueless." said Benny in a frustrated tone.

He sighed when she mentioned that she cared about he and Emi. He knew that. But so did many others. "all i can say is that i am sorry that i didn't tell you before it got out. but then again, yelling at me for a secret is a bit hypocritical coming from you isn't it Izzy?" He meant the thing about her and Alex being back together and the twins.

Izzy glared at him then shook her head looking away. Jerk She thought to herself then took a deep breath deciding to forgive him then heard what he said about her being a hypocrite. She gasped and glared at him. "Zat is totally different. Besides...I did not know they were alive....zey...zey told me zey died....that was not on purpose."she said softly looking down being sad. She was excited for when she would get to go and bring them home let alone see them. They were her babies. Izzy felt tears burning her eyes at the thought of her twin girls.

"that may be true... but... still you been preachin' on how i ought to have told you about mine and Emi's engagement but then you keep the fact that you and Alex got back together or whatever you want to call that... and the twins? Although i meant the first part more than the twins, since we were talking about love lives in a way. " said Benny with crossed arms. "i mean sure... i am happy for you, but that don't mean i am not worried about you and him being back together.. I just don't want you to get your heart broken again Izzy. " His tone was soft and caring. "just saying be careful. with your heart. that is all."

Izzy hadnt realized he was talking about her and Alex. She looked down and sighed. "I never told you why I broke up with him....I broke up with him because I was pregnant with the twins. I was afraid if I told him I was pregnant he would do what Kyle did to me....I wanted to get to him before he did it to me. Benny...I really love Alex. I mean....heck....he loved Madee and me. I know now that he would not have done what Kyle did."she said sighing and looked at him. She bit her lip and sighed. "With me getting back with Alex...it...it was kinda fast and unexpected. I guess I was trying to comprehend that it was not a dream before I told you..."she said softly looking at the ground.

Benny listened to Izzy talk with opened ears. He wanted to hear what she had to say. Then he said, "for your sake Izzy, and his, i sure as hell hope he loves you as much as you claim that you love him and that you claim that he loves you. Because i hate seeing you torn apart at your heart. You deserve happiness. and If Alex is good to you, then that's great. truly. But i would hate to hear that he broke your heart. Because i am not sure if he would be around to regret it." He looked up and over at her.

Benny then chuckled."now that is understandable. Very much so. Best to make sure that it is reality." He laughed and shook alittle bit of the wetness out of his hair before saying, "that was another reason i kept mine and Emi's engagement a secret. I was trying to make sure i wasn't just imagining that i proposed to her. because it was like for once i beat out her vision." he then grabbed his wand from his pocket and siphoned out the water from his clothing.

Izzy nodded and swallowed hard. So do I.... She thought to herself and nodded. "I just hope Emi does not kill Kyle during the competition because I want to do zat."she said laughing lightly and looked up at him. She understood but didn't like that he tried to hide it. She watched as he got rid of the water. She laughed lightly and hugged him. "You are my best friend, Benny....I do not want to lose you."she said softly looking up at him smiling.

Benny laughed gently and said,"I don't care who wins... as long as Emi and you make it out alive, i will be glad. I mean sure i would love to see Emi win... but if she doesn't win, you would be better than Kyle. " He stuck out his tongue. He hugged her back and said,"you won't lose me Izzy. we always will be close. " He slipped out of the hug and relaxed on the docks. His hair was hanging off the side of the dock. His hands were behind his head as he looked up from his laying position.

"my life changed dramatically this year." He said in a musing tone. "Mostly for the better and unexpected.I mean before this year... I never thought i would be engaged ever. Especially to Emi. Hell i never expected to date her, only because i never expected that she loved me like i loved her. I truly do love her. I never felt this... way before.." It was obvious in his eyes that he loved Emi. Sure at one point in his life he loved Izzy but it wasn't like love he felt for Emi.

"then there is the thing with the bands... It's like finally the dream is being realized.Like there is a chance for us to be bigger than we were. But that is... if we are successful in finding a way to get Benji back. " said Benny slowly.

Izzy giggled and nodded. "I want to talk to Emi. I zhink we should jinx him in the end. Then both me and her will win. I hope me and her are still friends after zhis. We are roommates."she said shrugging and smiled hugging him tight once then tilted her head and laughed lightly when he laid down. She sat next to him and smiled softly. She shrugged and sighed softly. "Yea...and...and I never thought I'd be a teen mom. Actually younger zen a teen mom. It wasn't long after us zat I got pregnant with Madee. I knew I should not have done zat...."she said softly wanting to cry then looked at him.

"I am a horrible mere...."she said softly then looked at the lake. Izabella laughed lightly looking at him. "I knew you all would be stars. I knew from the beginning."she said softly pushing him lightly. Looking down she looked back up. "We have both changed so much...sometimes I wish zings were back to ze way zey used to be...before Madee." Izzy looked down at the docks.

Benny closed his eyes for a moment. He spoke softly, "i think you both should play fair. Don't let the competition change you two. Because i hear that it changes people..." He opened his eyes and sighed. "i have faith that both of you ladies will make it through without dying or whatever... but i want you and Emi to be careful. I don't know what i would do if i lost either one of you. "

Benny looked up at the sky for a bit. "i guess what happened happened for a reason? I mean you having Madee made you a stronger person... I mean sure, you probably ought to have waited, but it seems like not many wait these days..." He placed one of his hands on her lap and said, "you are not a horrible Mother.I mean look how Madee turned out. She is growing up to be a wonderful little girl."

"you really had faith in us? that much faith in us? enough to say that the band would go big?"asked Benny curiously. then he nodded in agreement. "yeah we changed alot. but we still stayed close. no matter the troubles in our lives. But life was so much simpler when we were younger. No adult worries."

Izabella looked at him and grumbled. "Very well. But I can not guarantee zat I will not hurt Kyle."she said softly and looked down laughing lightly. Smiling at him she couldnt help it. "Well it is good to know zat you still care about me."she said softly looking at him. Taking a deep breath she shrugged. "I do not know if it has. I am drinking again, Benny."she said halfheartedly. She swallowed afraid of what he'd say about that. She wiped the tears that threated away and looked at his hand.

"Benny, she would be better off with you and Emi."she said hugging her knees. Looking at him she smiled. "Yes. Of course I had faith in you. You are all my good friends. How could I not?"she said softly looking at him and sighed. "Not wondering if you are going to be able to take care of your daughter. Or wondering if you are going to make the deadline for a project. Not a care in the world. Everything was perfect."she said softly looking at the lake.

Benny laughed and said, "i never said that you can't injure him... i was just say play fair." He stuck out his tongue. "of course i care about you. even if by some unforeseen thing, we drift apart... i will still care." At her admission that she had been drinking again, he sat up quickly. "WHAT?!?! when the hell did this happen?" He asked with an shocked look. Sure he drank once in awhile... ok, quite a bit after the shows...and during shows... but that was besides the point.

"Er... i mean... when... and how much?" He asked, trying to gauge the severity of it.was she back to old alcoholic ways? or just on the same level as the guys were... "i am not sure if the tourney is the reason for that..." He said warily, but he had thought that it could be because of Alex. but he wasn't going to say that yet. he really couldn't shake this bad feeling about him.

"are you sure about that? I honestly don't think i would ever be good enough to be a parent. " said Benny quietly. Then he grinned. "thanks... that makes me feel special." Then he sighed softly. "i am lucky that i don't have that worries. mine is more like... 'am i going to master this song before the gig' or 'how would people respond to that song or that joke.' but yeah when we were younger... we were so carefree."
