Her best memory was when she got her letter actually. She’s muggle born and therefore had no idea that such a place existed. It has completely changed her life. Admittedly she was a little frightened when the owl flew through the open window, but she’s gotten used to it since. Gemma opened the letter and had to read it about five times before she understood it. She has since taken every opportunity to learn about the world in which she functions.

personality;; Gemma is a slightly complicated person in the fact that part of her persona is extremely fluid. She is an expert on making people see what they want to see in her, an illusion she suspends only for close friends. In that case Gemma is professional and somewhat comforting. She makes sure that the other person knows to put their faith in her and to follow her rules. Fair is fair after all and if she’s going to take care of someone’s business then they have to play her game. One might call her quiet for the most part, she certainly isn’t a gossip.
On a more personal and friendly level Gemma is much warmer in a sense. She’ll smile and laugh though her nature is generally contained to a point. She’s extremely bright and often that will come across. She has some sinister parts of her personality, the part that is driven and conniving. It makes her intimidating to some despite her outward appearance. Overall though she’s a pleasant person towards other unless crossed, and if that happens then God help you.

history;; Gemma hails from the upper parts of England. She is the oldest of two, having a younger sister named Emily. Her mother is a school teacher and her father works as a banker so the family is well enough off. Gemma was an exceptionally bright child growing up, though she didn’t exceed the class as her attention was always scattered. This was harmless enough though, and not much attention was paid to it, though odd things tended to happen around her. She would be punished accordingly and the world would go on.
When she turned eleven she got her letter from Hogwarts. Once her parents got over the shock it was decided that it certainly explained a lot and she could go on to the school. She was sorted into Raven claw and has since flourished at school. She learned how to focus herself and her studies came easily to her. There was a change in her from the scattered and confused child to someone who was more focused but equally silly. She was comfortable there and started to ease into external magic outside of the classroom.
When Gemma was in her fifth year tragedy struck the family. Her younger brother was killed when a car struck his bicycle. Peter did not attend Hogwarts but Gemma and her sister Emily did. The girls were allowed to go home for the funeral and returned to classes soon afterwards. Gemma changed after that, she was more reserved, quieter. That was when she started to arrange smuggling and pranks within the school. You need it, she can make it happen.

Gemma was ready to go back to school this year. It was strange how this would be the last year that she was at Hogwarts. She wasn’t sure she was ready to let the place go, but at the same time she could not wait to move on with her life. She was allowed to use magic now that she was seventeen, and that was a relief. Now she could clean Peter’s room with a few waves of her wand instead of the old fashioned way. No one else ever cleaned it, it had remained nearly untouched. Gemma just kept the dust away, that was all. The room was a shrine to the dead eleven year old, minus the socks that would have littered the floor. She smiled to think of it.
She carefully packed her school books in her trunk, stacked neatly with their spines all facing out. She had no doubt that Emily just threw all of hers in there. She packed clothes around them to keep them from sliding about. She looked down at it, perfect. Then her list on contact that she had built up of late. She knew everyone, and what they wanted, and that was powerful. Tomorrow she would be on that train. She knew well that this year could make or break most of her dreams. She was ministry bound in her own opinion, but only time would tell.
