Natalie was having THE worst day in history. She had woken up feeling great, with the wave of her wand her hair was perfected and curly, She had walked to DADA happily and then To Potions, Thats when things started to go wrong, She had spilled hers all over her Uniform and had to be excused to change. Then in care of magical creatures she had fallen and got twigs and sticks in her hair, So she tried to get away from class to fix it only problem was she forgot her wand in her room and her hair was soaked.
So now She was sitting in the library with Wet hair hoping nothing else could go wrong, She walked down the aisles of the library seeing no one she sat in a big chair facing the tower window and began to write to her parents Mostly her father but still....
Natalie turned as she heard the slight noise of a door opening then dismissed it people hear things all the time when they are alone the mind does play tricks . Outfit- www.polyvore.com/shout_it_out/set?id=18558725

Everywhere in the castle was busy. Well, she was unsure of the forbidden forest but everywhere else - yes. The grounds (everyone was running around while the weather was still reasonably nice), even the common room! Why when Audrey needed to get something done did everyone need to be loud, annoying and attempting to ruin her life? So maybe that last part was an exaggeration, but it was a major jerk on her stress level to be unable to concentrate. She had orginally started off with her Transfiguration work in the common room - where one would expect to find another doing schoolwork. Failed attempt number one. Going outside was failed attempt number two before she even tried it.
Her last ditch effort was the library. Silence was mandatory and she would (hopefully) get her work done. Anything could happen. She sighed and stepped backwards into the library, using her back to push the door open so as not to drop the books in her arms. Without looking around, she went to the first desk nearest her, tipping her books onto it and wincing at the sound. "Sorry," she murmured when she looked up to find someone sitting in one of the larger chairs near the window. "Looks like you've seen better days," she said after a moment, hoping it didn't come out the wrong way.

Natalie pushed back her wet hair and started writing, "Dear mom & Dad, I just arrived and im finding its as busy as ever...." Just as she was about to finish this sentence books fell onto the floor near her. She snapped her head up and saw a girl who looked about in her fourth year maybe fifth. She said "Sorry" And Natalie answered with a smile that said "Its ok dont worry about it". The girl then said "You look like you have seen better days" and Natalie Winced it was nto entirely true, Nat always had bad days, Thats jut how she was,
But instead of being rude to this girl who looked like she might just be able to out-bitch her, Natalie just said "Yeah tell me about it" she said it sweetly. then she went back to writing her blue sweater was a bit to big so the sleeves looked big on her but it looked cute. She pulled back her hair again and placed it all onto her left shoulder. Her legs hung over the side of the chair very improperly, "Im Natalie Leana Davies" She said looking up at the girl, She might as well Intro herself.
The girl had brown hair and Ice blue eyes, Natalie silently wondered what house she was in, Natalie had not really seen her around, But to tell the truth Natalie Hardly remembered her wand when she went places

Audrey spread out her books neatly across the desk and out of the heap they had landed in, needing to guage their importance. Transfiguration first, Potions second.. she moved them on the table as ordered them on her mental list. Hardest to easiest, the work that would take the most time to what would take the least time, her logic being to get the more difficult over with. Then it would be easy coasting after that.
She nodded her head after the girl's response to her apology (and Audrey was sure she didn't look her best at the moment either) and comment. Most people wouldn't have apologized at all, but it was part of Audrey's character, she did it automatically. If she was to interrupt someone's silence or time to themselves she would apologize. Not that she got the same courtesy. People could be awfully rude. Sometimes Audrey wanted to just smack them upside the head with a heavy book.
"Audrey Rayne Derek," she introduced, following suit and using her middle name. At least.. she thought the brunette's use of 'Leana' was her middle name and not an add-on of the first. She could tell just by looking that the girl was older than herself and Audrey was surprised Natalie was even talking to her. "But you know, just Audrey," she added with a small smile. "Did you leave your common room because of the overwhelming amount of noise too?"

Natalie glances at the page she was writing on then crumpled it into a little ball, She gave it a look of obvious dissatisfaction, She tossed it into a wastebasket and started clicking her pen top thinking of what to write, Then the girl introduced herself her name was "Audrey Ryane Derek". Natalie looked at the girl with sudden interest " Of course its not like im going to go around calling you by your whole name" she said jokingly hoping she did not come off rude. "Yes its way too busy in the common room, You should see it, Even ravenclaw is crowded and loud all of us are studying, Im just not in the mood" she said.
Natalie stared back at her piece or blank paper, and started writing again, "Dear dad&Mom, Its Natalie, Well.... Duh! i'm like the only child who actually writes you during the school year, Im in the library its way busy everywhere" She looked at the first lines and crossed them out, She Started playing with her hair and doodling on her page
"So what house are you in Audrey?" she asked kindly, I mean she was older, But Natalie was deciding not to be rude this year, Plus this girl might actually be a nice person. Natalie Looked at the girl again, And she guessed that girl was either a Gryffindor or Slytherin Maybe hufflepuff, There was no way to be sure. But of course she had just named all the houses.

"Of course." Her mother sure called her by all three names when the time called for it, but it wasn't as often as when she was a child. Not that she got into a ton of trouble then. And didn't most people have nicknames? Granted a person's given name would not generally be used as a nickname, but you never know. There could be a group of friends out there, addressing each other by their entire names. Audrey sometimes went by 'Aude' or 'Ray', but she didn't know Natalie well enough to say 'oh, well call me by half of my middle name' about the second choice.
Ravenclaw, so Audrey had discovered Natalie's house without even asking. How good was she? Just kidding. If Natalie hadn't mentioned it, Audrey would have asked the question sooner or later. "I won't make a joke about a Ravenclaw not wanting to study." she gave her a small smile. Some students may be offended by that. In fact, Audrey had seen it before. They got offended over one of the comments about house classification. Most notably being Hufflepuffs are too nice or quiet.
She pulled the chair out at the table, pausing to look up at the sound of a pen scratching back and forth across paper. No one would do that on a piece of homework (nor would they use a pen), so Audrey could safely say that Natalie was not in the library to get schoolwork done. "I am in Hufflepuff," she said as she sat herself down in the chair, looking back up with a small smile. "Go ahead and be surprised about the noise I was describing earlier, if you'd like."

Natalie giggled to herself at her drawing of a Dragon and a small person fighting it with a wand who looked like her, She looked over at Audrey, "Yeah i know its weird me not wanting to study, I dunno i guess im sick or something" Natalie looked at her, It was quite odd that she was not feeling up to the whole studying thing, She always studied and got passing grades. More than passing actuality more like exceeding expectations and assessed why she might be there, Maybe noise as well, Natalie Was not offended by her comment about ravenclaw, She was not as sensitive as the others, She just let it roll off her shoulders, Natalie Laughed to herself as she said Hufflepuff, It had been her last guess,
"Go ahead and be surprised about the noise I was describing earlier, if you'd like." She said Natalie immediately stopped scribbling " So sorry!" she said, She felt like she was interrupting Audrey with her annoying habits, She did that alot, She was very short attention when it came to the small details like that, Natalie blushed in embarrassment. She pulled her hand through her now only damp hair and started combing through it ,With her right hand while writing more softly on her pad adding little captions to her drawing,

Audrey eyed Natalie once more at her giggling, wondering but not asking what was so amusing. She shrugged one shoulder and pulled her Transfiguration book to her, not even opening it before Natalie started speaking. And, finding it rude to ignore someone when they were speaking, Audrey looked up and away from the book. "Maybe. Who comes to the library to study anyways," she joked, rolling her eyes. Audrey had noticed the times she had been in the library, the people she passed were only reading. Unless maybe they were mentally filing away the information and making no notes? But that could hardly count as studying.
She flipped through the pages till she found the one she needed, looking back to Natalie at her blurted apology. Audrey frowned. "For what?" As far as she could tell, Natalie had done nothing wrong. She hadn't interrupted Audrey's speaking or said anything rude or out of turn. And she hadn't offended Audrey. So what did she have to be sorry for? Or maybe Audrey was just having a slow-on-noticing-offensive-things day.

Natalie bit her lip and said " For the clicking pen noises, i thought they might be bugging you" she said putting down her pen and placing the piece of doodling paper on the ground, she got up and picked out a book she setteled her self down again her legs dangling over one arm rest she opened the book on transfiguration. Natalie might as well recite it out loud, She had already read this book through a week ago.
Audrey as far as natalie was concerned was pretty, sweet and kind, But hey? first impressions could be wrong. Natalie was sure this girl wanted to study but for some reason natalie wanted to get to know audrey
In natalies head she thought that audrey and her could end up being good friends, dispite the age diffrence.

"Oh, that." Audrey shrugged one shoulder. "Sometimes." If she had started studying, she would have been annoyed and would have felt compelled to say something. But when she had looked earlier, she had only wanted to know what the sound was and where it was coming from. Knowing that it was coming from Natalie, she could let it rest for a bit, because she wouldn't have to go searching for the sound to make it stop. Until it became too much. Everyone had those simple, silly little annoyances. Clicking was something Audrey could deal with for only so long.
She couldn't concentrate on the page in front of her, not when she had someone to talk to. Audrey didn't often talk to others outside of her own house. They could be too mean, loud, and sometimes.. very eccentric. Natalie didn't seem to be any of those. But Audrey had been wrong before. It was worth a shot though, right? The only awkwardness Audrey may feel was the age difference. She didn't have many friends three years older than her. None that she could think of actually. She folded her arms over her book and eyed Natalie again. Wasn't that position in the chair uncomfortable? Oh well, it wasn't Audrey sitting there. "Is it a bad habit or something?" she asked, unsure of what else to say. Anything else she could think of sounded awkward for this particular moment.
