Jamie had been bouncing about on the balls of his feet, while getting ready for the dance. He was sure that it was going to be great. He didn't know why, but he had gotten the vibe from it all ready.When he was all ready, He slid down the Bannister that came down from the dorms. He stood by the steps, waiting for his darling fiancee. In his hand was a beautiful flower for her. He didn't care that it wasn't a formal dance. He still wanted to be sweet and give her a flower.

Pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, Selena looked at herself and smiled. Excitement actually built up in her and she didn't completely understand why. Oh well, some thing were meant to remain a mystery. Looking down to make sure everything was okay on her outfit, she looked at her hand and the beautiful ring that sat on her finger. A smile curved along her lips as she got even more excited. Selena was attending the dance with Jamie. Her best friend and most importantly her fiancee. Scurrying out of the bathroom, Selena slipped on her shoes and went briskly down the steps to see Jamie standing there waiting for her already.
Beaming at him, she ran over and practically threw herself in his arms, giving him a warm hug. "Ello love." She said looking at him and giving him a quick kiss. "You look mighty handsome."

Jamie smiled brightly when the love of his life came down the steps. He hugged her and kissed her back. "hello yourself hun. Beautiful as ever." He always thought that she was definitely the most beautiful person he ever known. Both inside and outside. He was always thankful that they were together.
"ready to have fun at the dance?" He asked with a grin. Usually the guys just go to the dances together as a group and goof off. But it seemed like this year it was different. all of them had dates of some sort. But of course Ben J didn't have a date, but Jamie knew that was because he preferred to go alone. Jamie also didn't know the true nature of Benny and Emi. He just assumed that they were going as friends, but he was assuming wrong.

Selena let go of Jamie and smiled thinking about his compliment. "Why thank you." Letting her hand intertwine into his, she stood there with a lot of excitement. This was Selena's first school dance that she had went to. Before there hadn't been a reason to go because it was just her and she would have to hang out with her siblings the whole time. But they had their own social crew, so she just didn't go at all. Instead stayed in her room and played music, or studied for exams that were 2 months ahead. So this was totally different that what she had ever done before.
"Of course. I've never been to one. This should be an adventure." She said looking at his grin. He was just too handsome for his own good. That grin made her melt every time she saw it. Of course everything about him made her melt. The way he held her, the way that he could just say the right things at the right times. She was so glad that they were together. He was perfect for her.

Jamie smiled and kissed her hand playfully. He just had to do that, the opportunity presented itself. He chuckled and said, "well this would be my first with a beautiful date like you. I usually went with the guys as a group." He couldn't help but to flash her a cute smile. "so it shall be quite an adventure. for us all" He then pushed open the portrait hole for them.

Jamie was just so sweet to her. Smiling, she walked off with him as he led her through the corridor. "Well I'm glad to honor you with the presence of an adventure waiting to happen." Selena didn't know exactly how to dance other than the choreography that she had done with the dance off thing. Which Selena hadn't won because they pulled out some pretty tough ghetto moves. Oh well. That was okay. Tonight was just going to be a fun night, and she actually couldn't wait to slow dance and she didn't know exactly why. Probably because of the though of being in Jamie's arms like that made her feel amazing. Even thought she was in his arms anyways all the time. Oh well, it was her biggest public display of affection. Everyone would know that the rumors were completely official because the ring was shown proudly on her finger.

Jamie smiled softly as they walked out through the corridors and such. then he whispered playfully in her ear, "in my heart and mind, you are still the winner of the competition. " He didn't care for the ghetto moves that the others pulled. and of course he was biased towards Selena anyways. So perhaps it was a great thing that he wasn't the judge.
Soon, after walking down who knows many staircases they were finally there. He could hear the music from just outside of the door. "ready to do this?" he asked playfully.
