The Second Task }Izzy

The Second Task was finally upon the champions. After the last incident with one of the champions, the minister thought about delaying the task longer, but he just wanted it all over with as soon as possible to prevent any further injuries. Adrian assumed that they all had figured out what to do with the golden egg so there was no need to explain further. Each of the champions was to bring their loved one up from the bottom of the black lake. Using their wand and spells to do so, any use of gillyweed was forbidden a student had almost died, after the mermaids attacked the student.

"Welcome to the second task, last night something was stolen from each of our champions, a treasure of sorts. These three treasures, one for each champion, now lie at the bottom of the black lake. In order to win, each champion needs to find their treasure and return to the surface. Simple enough, but they will only have one hour to do so, and one hour only. After that they will be on their own. You may begin at the sound of the canon" Adrian looked around as the students gathered around to watch the champions as they were to begin their task. Izzy's treasure was Theo Prescott.

Standing there she looked at the water waiting for them to be able to jump in. Blinking she swallowed hard and closed her eyes. When the canon went off she spread her arms and fell into the water. Using her knowledge of spells and merpeople she used a charm that temporarily transformed her into a merperson. Smiling she swam down looking around as she went. Breathing in deeply she swam as fast as she could through some seaweed. Biting her lip she remained still and looked around. Tilting her head she saw the Beauxbatons crest and began swimming toward it. Stopping her eyes grew wide seeing Theo. ”OH NO!”she said then glanced around seeing other merpeople.

Biting her lip she swam down and got Theo untied and quickly swam to the surface avoiding the merpeople and other creatures of the deep. Looking at Theo she swallowed hard then realized her charm was wearing off. Looking down her eyes grew wide and she tried to swim as fast as she could and tried to swim as fast as she could but water soon filled her and she pushed Theo up with all her might and slowly tried to follow him so she wouldn’t drown. Pushing out the water the best she could she spoke a spell and flew to the surface not long after Theo but the damage had been done and she was temporarily unconscious.
