Her father had asked her to come out to the Lake, and that was the only reason she was there around this time. Most people were at dinner, but Lily hadn’t felt very hungry, and so she had come out here early. She didn’t know why she hadn’t stayed at the Slytherin table with the rest of her minions, but she just hadn’t. She didn’t know why her father was coming all the way to Hogwarts to speak to her, but she wasn’t going to get involved in what her father did. After all, all she really cared about him for was for the money he gave her. That’s not true, B, and you know it, a voice whispered to her, sounding strangely like Lucian. She shook her head forcefully, her curls moving, but not falling into her face because of the headband that she always wore.
She rolled her eyes as she stared at the water. Before she had become Queen, she had hung out here all the time, skipping rocks and laughing with Kara. She didn’t even want to think about those times now. That would get her in the wrong mood for when her father got here. She had to be in the mode that she presented to her father. If any label came after Queen B., it was Actress. She could act flawlessy, pulling off facades and charades of all kinds to keep herself in the game. She was a schemer, she was smart, and she was the kind of girl that rarely ever got caught by anyone that didn’t know her well enough. Her father…she didn’t count him as one of those people. He thought he knew her, but she had never been the little girl that he thought of her. She never had been, and never would be. Well, truly. To his face? She acted her “Daddy’s Girl” part perfectly. Lily leaned against a rock and shrugged, her heels holding her up and her dress framing her beautifully, along with the jacket that she had thrown over with a warming charm on it to keep the cold wind out while still looking fashionable. She sighed and waited, wondering when her father would appear.

Standing in one of the towers he looked down as he watched his daughter walk outside to where he had requested to meet her. He couldn’t believe his own daughter had played him the fool. He shook his head and went to meet her. Harry felt so stupid. Walking down the stairs he headed to the door that lead outside. Walking out he walked feeling completely stupid but was angry about what his little girl had been to him all this time. He knew what he had to do. He had to punish her for the first real time. Smiling he walked to where she was and smiled. ” ‘Ello Lily.”he said leaning against the rock looking at his little girl. His only little girl. Giving her everything she wanted and the whole time she played him the fool. Harry smiled at his little girl. Outfit: clickey here

Lily had played her father. Yes, she had. Her scheming, for years, had always put him wrapped around her little finger. That was how it had always been. She had been the one to tap his bank account, she had been the one that got him to take her to galas, and if she broke the occasional rule, she was the one who got him to cover it up. And he had never known. He had never been the wiser. Lily had always been, and always would be successful…at least, that was what she thought. She didn’t think that her father would ever find out. After all, he wasn’t at Hogwarts. He didn’t observe her day-by-day, finding out that she was the rules of Hogwarts’ social class, and was the one that raised people’s pedestals or destroyed them straight to the bottom.
And for some reason, she hoped that he wouldn’t find out. She didn’t want him to be one of the people that she couldn’t depend on to defend her. She couldn’t have absolutely no one on her side. At the moment, all she had was sort-of Kara, Victoire, Harry, and maybe Ginny. She didn’t want to lose those four people’s defense, because then, she wouldn’t have anything to shield herself with. She had always considered herself to be a strong person, but that strength disappeared when she realized that she was all alone. That’s why she didn’t want to have Harry turn on her. She couldn’t afford it. Not while she was Queen B. Not when she needed the money to survive. And definitely not when she was going through the whole fight-break-up thing with Lucian. Too many things at once would make her lose her focus, and as Queen B., that was not an option. Lily felt when her father came up next to her, and took a deep breath, putting up the act. The smile on her face looked genuine, and there was even a slightly twinkle in her eye. “Hello, Dad.” She said, showing off her smile. “What did you want to talk to me about?”

Smiling at his baby girl deep down he felt betrayed. She was his little girl. His baby and to find out she was….she was horrible just broke his heart. He didn’t know if he could ever trust her. It made him think that every single thing she has ever told him was a lie. Swallowing hard he smiled at his little girl. ”I just wanted to know how school was going. With the tournament. Man….I remember when I participated. I got pretty hurt…and I lost a classmate. I hope I am able to help these champions. They did pretty well in the first task. Emiline did a wonderful job. She deserved first place.”he said as he stood there. of course none of what Harry knew had been let out into the papers because they had made sure to keep reporters away this time. Only one was Gossip Girl and she had her sources. Harry stood there thinking as he stood wondering if she’d catch on.

How school was going? She almost shrugged her shoulders. It wasn’t like he’d know that she was lying. He wasn’t here to know. No matter what anyone told her, Harry James Potter was probably one of the most oblivious people on the planet when it came to his children. It made Lily want to laugh straight in his face, but she never would. She still had some sort-of twisted sense of parental respect for the man, not that she acknowledged that at all. “School’s going well, as usual. My friends and I are still friends, I still have those Slytherins that hate me, but I doubted they’d ever go away, and my grades are still doing well.” She said in an innocent tone. Then she heard Harry start to talk about the tournament, and a bout of confusion grew.
How did he know what was going on with the tournament? This time, no paparazzi had been allowed in. The only person that was reporting was Gossip Girl, and that was only because of the tips that Lily and her minions had been sending in. So how did her father know? Gossip Girl wasn’t known to anyone outside of Hogwarts; it was sort-of their generations’ dirty little secret, one that was kept hidden from parents and relatives and things like that. For her, she didn’t tell anyone that she was the one that gave Gossip Girl almost all of her information, nowadays. She had the Black girl, Calliope, always by her side now, and she had to be the best Queen she could be, and while she was worrying about Gossip Girl, she could miss things. That’s why people couldn’t know that she was the one outing everything, or most things, to the girl who hid behind her blasts. “James and Albus have been writing home, then? I know that they were so excited for Hogwarts to win.” She said, winging her words. L waited for her father to respond, wondering what was going to come out of his mouth this time.

Feeling that punch to the heart killed him once more. Lying once more. Breaking his heart the more she lied. He decided to let her have a second chance. He let her get away with the first lie. Harry knew all she said was a lie. He knew that school wasn’t going well with her. Nodding he stood there leaning against the rock not responding. He heard the last thing she said and shook his head. ”Actually I haven’t been home. I’ve been working. Very hard actually. And yes I agree. I am excited Hogwarts won the first task.”he said as he stood there. Deciding now to play the game he remembered her friend Kara. Or former friend. ”So how’s Kara? You and her still good friend?”he asked looking at his baby girl. This was her second chance. If she lied to him about this then he’d drop the bomb on her.

He hadn’t been home? Her stomach started to drop. She didn’t understand what her father meant. He said he had been working really hard…maybe he had been staying at the office more? It could have been a total exaggeration. She really didn’t know at this point. “Oh, work’s been that busy? Sorry, Dad. You must be staying at the office for such long hours.” Lily said in an apologetic-sounding tone. She had been acting perfectly so far, hiding her confusion and her bitchiness under what her father thought she was. She knew that he could never let him know about what she did. She didn’t know what would happen, but she knew that the backlash wouldn’t be good.
Kara? She and Kara were so not what her father thought they were. Harry thought that she and Kara were the closest and best of friends. And at some point, they had been. But that point had been a very long time ago, before Kara had started to turn her into what she was today. Since that point, Lily’s training had taken a turn for the worse, and she had become more ruthless than Kara had ever been. That hadn’t been the way it should’ve turned out, but things had gotten…way out of control. She put on a smile, seeming happy, and started to speak. “Kara and I? Oh, we’re fine as usual. Still close as usual. In fact, we’re going to Diagon Alley this Saturday, to go shopping for Yule Ball dresses.” Lie after lie after lie. She and Kara weren’t even talking right now, less than going shopping for dresses for the Yule Ball. Her father wouldn’t know otherwise, though, and she kept the smile up and waited for him to say something. She knew it was wrong, but she couldn’t tell him. Not now, and not ever.

It seemed Lily was falling for his game and not getting the hints. He shook his head. ”Actually no. I’ve been helping Headmistress McGonagall at the request of the Minister.”he said to her as he awaited her response about Kara. Hearing her lie made him hurt. ”Strange…I could have sworn I heard you and her weren’t friends anymore and that she got married to Scorpius Malfoy and is now pregnant with his baby and that your boyfriend. Sorry. I mean ex-boyfriend Lucian Avery had broken up and that you were dating Lysander Scamander. I also heard that Lily Potter is the most hated girl in Hogwarts.”he said looking at her curious. She had to realize what he had been doing after what he just said to her. Afterall, no one outside of Hogwarts would have known all that no matter what students wrote when sending letters to family.

Hearing those words made her sick to her stomach. He had been helping McGonagall? So he had been at Hogwarts. He…he couldn’t know everything. That was impossible. It was. Her father couldn’t have possibly been at Hogwarts without her knowing. He just couldn’t have. Her minions would’ve found out and told her. She was Queen B.! She knew everything that went on at Hogwarts! And so, apparently, did her father. She listened on with dread as he spilled her inner circle’s secrets right in front of her. She felt slightly dizzy. How had this happened? Was this even happening? It was surely a dream. One bad nightmare after having that piece of cake at dinner. It had been a bad idea, she had told herself before eating it, and this was what she got; a guilty nightmare. They had been about her old boyfriend, but now, they were about her father finding out. How crazy was this? But something told her that this was all real, and that she was in a lot of trouble.
“Dad, I…” She started out, weakly. “How did you find out about all of this? How long have you been here? Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” She felt really dizzy, and scared, but she put herself under control. She had to make sure that nothing happened. She put up her Queen B. image, and hoped that this would do something to help her. “Dad, none of this is true. Well, the part about Kara and Scorpius is true…but that doesn’t have anything to do with me! Lucian and I were never really going out, and Kara and I are still as strong as ever. I’m sure that you’ve just heard the rumors that some of those people that seriously don’t like me are spreading. And it’s not the whole school. I’m not the most hated girl.” She said in a confident tone. Inside, though, she was absolutely falling apart.

Smirking as she realized he knew all about what she had been doing. ”I found out by listening and asking questions and reading Gossip Girl. Since about October. And because I never tell about missions.”he said looking at her. Raising a brow he shook his head as she denied it all. ”Somehow I don’t believe you Lily. You have never told me the truth. I’m your bloody father. I should have known about all of this. You’re horrible and….right now….I can’t claim you as a Potter. I…as much as I hate to say this…I can’t claim you as my daughter. I gave you everything you wanted and now…I don’t even know who you are. You’re not the beautiful baby I held that day….You’re not my little princess. You used me for my money and my title. And….as much as it kills me to say…Lily Potter….I…”he said standing straight looking at her. He couldn’t bring himself to say it. This wasn’t his little girl. He didn’t know her.

Lily felt her heart ready to burst. He knew about everything. He knew about Gossip Girl, he knew about Lucian, he knew about Kara…he knew about her being Queen B. This whole conversation had spiraled a little too far out of it’s boundaries, but she didn’t know what to do. And as he kept talking, she just started feeling sicker and sicker. He couldn’t claim her as his daughter? What the hell did that mean? She was Lily Luna Potter! Of course she was his daughter! She wasn’t his little princess? She never had been! Well, maybe far back, once upon a time, when she had been younger and hadn’t known Kara or Luc, or any of her inner circle. Maybe then she had been the little girl that Harry had thought she truly was. Her father trailed off, not being able to continue.
Lily, being the stupid girl that she was, decided that taunting her father was the best choice. She couldn’t stop herself. “As much as it kills you to what? What are you going to do, Father? Disown me? Pull me out of Hogwarts? Stop me from being Queen B.? We both know that you’ll do neither. You love me too much. Remember? I’ll always be your little princess. I’ll always be Daddy’s Little Girl. Wasn’t that what you always used to tell me?” Lily said, in a tone that was a mix of evil and innocence. Her conscience was screaming at her, telling her to shut up, but a part of her just kept going until she had stopped, and was now waiting for Harry to speak. She knew he wouldn’t do anything, though…right? He was Harry Potter. He was too good. Or, at least, that’s what she thought.

Looking at her he knew he didn’t want to then heard her say he wouldn’t and was surprised. ”You obviously don’t know your father very well.”he said to his daughter and stood straight. He chuckled looking at her. He couldn’t believe that his daughter underestimated him. Becoming serious he looked at her. ”Lily Potter, I disown you. Until you prove truthfully that you are worthy of the Potter name you’re cut off from your inheritance. That means Queen B has just been killed by her daddy. I love you Lily. But not this Lily. The Lily that lies and cheats to get to the top. I’m sorry. Your credit cards and everything else is cut off as of now. I hoped you enjoyed your fashion while it last because your not getting those Prada and Gucci boots you wanted for Christmas until you prove to me that you are infact changing and becoming a better person.”he said to his daughter. With one quick motion he kissed her forehead and turned and started walking away from his baby girl.

Lily felt her heart stop when she heard what was coming out of her father’s mouth. She was what? She couldn’t deal with disowning! She wasn’t Scorpius! She couldn’t just get married and pretend like she didn’t need her family! She needed them, for their money, and for their name, and for their status. She couldn’t be just another girl. She needed her clothes, she needed her shoes, she needed her jewelry…she needed the life of Slytherin royalty. She wouldn’t be able to survive without it. It was like a drug to her. She hadn’t needed it before she had it, but now that she had it, she couldn’t let go of it. No matter how many mistakes she had made, she couldn’t handle this. Not this consequence.
“Please, Dad! Don’t…don’t do this! I need you! I need Mom, I need James, Albus…I need my family!” She said desperately, after he had started to walk away after kissing her forehead. “You can’t do this! Not to me! Please.” She stopped, the tears running down her cheeks preventing her from pleading further. Didn’t her father love her anymore? This was just proving that she truly had no one in the world. She didn’t have any friends, she didn’t have a true boyfriend to love her, she didn’t have a family…she didn’t even have her title anymore. She didn’t even want to go back to the castle. She just felt like running away and hiding. She didn’t want to face the backlash of being an outsider. She didn’t think she could handle it.

Harry looked at the ground as he walked. This killed him. He loved his daughter and this was torture for him. Hearing her plead he took a deep breath and looked back toward her. ”You have family but not our money. Oh and you might want to get a job because of the fact that you’ll need to pay for your Yule Ball dress. You have a job at Malter Café if you want. I’ll be waiting for your answer to it. And yes I can do this. I’m your father. I have every right. You need to be punished for all the crap you’ve pulled. I’m not going to be so naïve anymore Lily. I’ll be waiting for your answer about the job. She you around baby girl.”he said as he then walked away back to the castle. Harry knew it had to be done. No matter what she did. She needed this.

Lily found herself with tears falling heavily down her cheeks. She didn’t even respond to her father. She couldn’t bring herself to. She couldn’t even bring herself to speak to the man. She’d have to work at the café he owned in Hogsmeade, where everyone could see her. Her life had officially reached an all time low, and she could do nothing to stop it. She was no longer a Potter. She was now just Lily Luna. She had no money, no home, and even though Harry had said differently, no family. She felt as if she couldn’t breathe, and leaned against the rock and bent over, trying to get some air into her lungs. It felt as if she couldn’t get enough in, though. She started to breathe more regularly, though, and stood up. She fixed her dress, and stared out to the lake.
She made her way into the castle with her head down, knowing that about now, people were already in the dungeons. A while had passed, unlike what she had thought, and it was about nine. She walked, her tears still blurring her vision almost completely. She couldn’t believe what had just happened. How could her father do that to her? Now, she had no one to turn to. Before, she hadn’t turned to her family because she hadn’t wanted to, but now, it wasn’t even a ‘not-want-to’. It was a ‘I-can’t-because-they’re-not-even-family-anymore’ thing. She bumped into someone on her way down, and when she spotted the long, blonde hair, she almost started crying even harder. Could this night get any worse?
