Jay thought about it and said, "hmm... if i were to see Zach's injuries... i would be able to tell you if i was possible. But if that was true... then it is possible that we could get Benji off the hook. Because it could be told that he just fell back after stabbing Benji.... " Jay's voice was enthusiastic. Then he heard what she said.Jay nodded in agreement on that. "yeah i am sure he would be a great father. and if we had it my way, he would spend more time with you and the baby."
He chuckled and said, "yeah it is always good to hope. " Jay tilted his head as he listened to her talking about how brave Benji was. "yeah that is pretty brave. i probably wouldn't have been able to do that myself." He muttered quietly.He then shrugged

Cass snuggled carefully against Benji's sleeping form. No one else made her feel as warm or as safe or as wanted. No one, just him. Though it may be selfish that was one of the reasons why she was terrified of being away from him, rather loosing him to Azkaban. Who had ever come out of there? She could not think of any names that came to mind. That was the hardest part in a sense. It was easier not to think about it and now what Jamie said gave her hope. Her fingertips caressed Benji's cheek. "I know that you'll all be busy with the band. Just give me a day or two, a couple of nights, and I'll be happy." And that was the complete truth.
"It's funny how much more you value everything after you loose it once and it comes back to you." This applied to the band as well in a way. They were like a family now to her, especially since her family had let her go in the most severe sense of the word.

Jay chuckled and said, "I will try to only have him busy a few nights. You know... just the weekends, and maybe some weekdays once in a while." He thought about it and said, "in a few, i will go down to see if i could look at Zach's Body, to see what proof i can... er fabricate to make Benji seem innocent of all charges" he whispered. Sure if he got caught, he would get into trouble as well. But it would be worth it to save Benji.
"yes. that is... so true. One truly does appreciate things once you have lost them." Jay knew that oh too well. He appreciated his family more now.

Cass smiled at him. "Thank you Jamie. The baby and I will appreciate that." She wasn't too worried about it though. Benji had told her that he'd find a way back to her and she believed it, she fully believed it. She raised her eyebrows at the next part. "I'm sure he wouldn't want you to get yourself in trouble though, so be careful." They certainly had enough trouble swirling around them. She wanted a break from it all, in fact she wanted that desperately.
"I'm afraid they won't be fair to him because of what they think he is. He's a werewolf but he really isn't dangerous."

Jay smirked lightly and said, "oh no worries... i can fabricate evidence so good that it looked real... did it many times before to help out the others... did it many times for Jerad last year. " He acted innocent. "well at least i caused a distraction that allowed him to escape from his parents' grasp many a time. my favorite time was the distraction that allowed me and the guys to get our tats."
"what i am saying, is don't worry." he was trying to assure her that he wasn't going to get caught. He then heard what she had said. He frowned and murmured, "i am tired of the ministry's anti werewolf bias. "

Cass smiled at this news. She half wanted to ask what he had done for Jerad. Actually what Jerad had done to make him have to hide the truth. She coudln't help wanting to have a little dirt, no harm in that. She couldn't help her smirk and an eyebrow raise. What was he going to plant on Zach's body? hopefully it would do the trick that they were both looking for. That was the only important part. "I think it would be best not to tell Benji about this."
"It isn't fair, he's a good person, its just the fact that he's a werewolf. I wish that they could see past that, its such a small part of him."

Jay snorted. "yeah probably best not to tell him, but he probably knows already.Like i can keep any secrets from him when he is laying there within earshot of what we are saying. " That being said, Jay wasn't going to explain what he was going to do, in front of Benji. Then he sighed, "same. you know, at first people thought i was crazy having him in the band. especially in a place that caters to vampires as well... but that was until they heard him play.but my point is... people who judge him based on his lycanthrophy are missing out on who he truly is. I mean sure, the werewolf gene is part of who he is... but it is like you say is a small part of who he is. but truth be told... i have never seen a more calmer werewolf..."

Cass sighed then, so deeply worried that she couldn't really help it. "If they send him to jail then I'm going with him. I'm not going to let him go alone and i can't be without him. I can't do this alone. He deserves better that that and if I can try to help make things better, well I have to try." She knew this might not be a popular idea but a necessary one none the less. "He is so harmless, its completely silly to think of him as a wild animal based on one thing. He isn't like that at all, he's gentle, even in his form as long as he has the potion. The night before the morning when my heart stopped... well he was in hs form and he slept right next to the couch under my arm no less."

Benji had been sleeping, but not so deep that he didn't hear Jay come in or what they were talking about. He had heard the entire thing. So he opened one eye and said, "you can't stay there even if you do come.... they won't allow you to." He wasn't specific about who. He could have meant the Guards... or quite simply the band. But as soon as he finished speaking, he went back to sleep.Jay poked him in the side , where he was uninjured and said, "hey... no hello for me?" He pouted playfully. then he looked back up at Cass. "you just hit the key thing... If he has his potion.... i wonder if he would be just as calm without it. not that i would want to test it. "

Cass nearly started when Benji spoke. It was that feeling of being overheard by the person you were talking about. She looked at him when he said she couldn't come. "Watch me, I'll curse them to kingdom come, they won't have a choice." She kissed the top of Benji's head. "And look at you being sneaky, still awake like that." All the same she could not help but smile. Cass thought for a moment about what Jamie said. "Well we could test that, maybe if I was there to keep him calm..." Everything could be fine just as long as he was calm.

Benji smirked with his eyes closed. He knew he had been caught.He opened his eyes and said, "i wasn't awake per-say... more like lightly sleeping. Cause like hell i can sleep in a hospital bed" Then he sighed gently and said, "I never said that you couldn't come... but i did say that they won't let us stay together. They will rip us apart. and i don't want that to happen." He rolled his eyes at Jay and lazily waved at him.
Jay sighed and muttered, "Benji has a good point. because since when do the people in Azkaban care if a person is happy? never that's when." then he laughed gently at her. "if anyone could keep Benji calm it is you." Benji nodded in agreement. But he clearly didn't like the idea of going without the potion.

Cass sighed. "I know that its hard for you to sleep here but you really do have to get some rest. The more rest you get the faster you'lle get better, and that means you won't have to be here for as long." The idea of being ripped away from Benji was anything but appealing. "We aren't going to be apart, they can't seperate us." She meant that too, with every fiber of her being.
She looked at Jay then. "True but I'm sure they don't want someone dangerous. It is bad enough without a werewolf wild in there. That is just common sense." At least it was common sense to her. "We could try it without the potion though, see how it goes..." She wasn't going to tell them no if they wanted it, but she could be bitten if they tried this. That was a concern both for her health and for the baby.

Benji laughed in a dogged fashion, "i would try but it is also hard when Jay is around... taalking up a storm" He rolled his eyes a bit over dramatically. Then he gave his friend a smirk to tell him that he was joking.Then he sighed and said, "good luck trying to convince them to let us stick together because it is almost unheard of." He didn't want to add that he was more worried about her safety in there than his own. It scared him to even imagine her in that place. He could handle it. but he wasn't sure about her.
Jay laughed and said, "what common sense? they seriously have none. but the reason they probably don't allow potions there is because someone could easily slip polyjuice potion instead of that wolfsbane potion. and then a whole can of worms would be unleashed and that is not good at all. " He didn't really want to risk Benji without his potion but they might have to with the rules of the place. But he hoped that Azkaban was ready to handle a wild werewolf as Benji could definitely be... if he wanted to be. Although being wild may just be the key to get him out of that place.

Cass dropped her head to whisper into Benji's ear. "Well you need to rest, now I can't wear you out like I usually do, so you're just going to have to rest anyways." Then she wiggled her eyebrows at him. "What I mean is that if I have anything to say you won't be going anywhere." She didn't want to go to jail. "I wish I was braver, but I don't want to risk my condition in that place." She looked at Jay.
"Don't say things like that." She could only say that. She could not say that she thought that would give them an excuse to suck his soul out. They would say he was dangerous and it would be a matter of time.
