 In 1945 the great Albus Dumbledore fought and dueled Gellert Grindelwald and won. From this battle he won over the loyalty of the Elder Wand, but was also hit by a curse. A curse no one knew of and which brought about the untimely death of the great man.
It is now 1980, a war is going on between Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters and the Ministry of Magic. The Ministry is buckling down harder on purebloods, tracking their movements, fearing them at risk for joining the opposition. The Ministry has started putting together an army like force to one day do battle against Voldemort and his Death Eaters. An army that has the okay to use the Unforgivables. A fact that has many witches and wizards unsettled, the few that dare argue publicly saying that it makes them just as bad, or worst, then Voldemort and his followers.
