January 2010 was when the Volturi had come to fight against what they felt was a great injustice from the Cullens. But they found that there fears were misfounded. Dissappointed the Volturi left without accomplishing their goals of destroying and acquiring.
The Cullens have been left a bit shaken. Fear that the Volturi will come back hovers over the hopes they have for the future. They still worry mostly for Renesmee but not near as much as they did before they met another of her kind. She appears to be an innocent nine year old child to many now.
The shape shifters of La Push have certainly grown in number especially considering the increase of vampire traffic due to the curious vampires who wish to catch sight of Renesmee.
Research has uncovered that there are more groups of shape shifters around the world and as the months pass communication has increased with these packs.
More of the shifters have imprinted putting more and more humans into the loop. These humans are a possible risk of the return of the Volturi but with new allies showing up the Cullens and the Quillettes are ready for just about anything.
Hope and fear mix together in their futures. For now these futures are uncertain. They are now shadowed in twilight!
