personality;;Lancelot quite enjoys the simpler things in life. He isn’t too exciting in the sense that he feels no need to be kicking dark wizard ass every hour of every day, or even simply taking an unplanned dip in the lake. This isn’t to say he will if bullied into it enough, he just doesn’t prefer it as much as, say, sitting underneath a tree on a breezy day and appreciating the world natural beauty. He’s quite the romanticist when it comes to that. Lance has the incredible ability to take a lemon, look at it and really appreciate, cut it in half and appreciate it for an hour more. Does he think he’s boring? No, no, not at all. There just aren’t many people in the world who think on the same wave length as he does, and so he can very easily come off as a bore.
Growing up rather close to his older brother, who cherishes his sense of individuality and independence, Lance has always been a tad keep to himself. All his life he’d stick close to his brother; going so far as having him speak on his behalf as a child. It frustrates him being unable to speak what’s on his mind, as he is actually rather opinionated, but shy to voice his opinions. He reminds himself of his mother when it comes to this aspect of himself. For fear of just that, he tries his hardest not to let his nerves get the best of him, and for the most part, it works.
Another quality he highly prides himself on is his get-to-work attitude. He thrives under the feeling of accomplishment, not only after he finishes a task, but when he is appreciated on it. A lot of his time is taken up working on projects and essays, regardless of how dull and unimaginative they are. Lancelot is always thinking about the future and knows that to get where he wants, he’s got to make the best of himself now.

history;; It was January when the rather rolly polly baby popped out of one Mrs. Josie Longbottom. Not the first child, no, but by far the most difficult challenge shed yet to face. Having such a big fat baby, coming out of her you know where in the exact opposite direction shed hoped, was nothing compared to battling in the war against the dark lord. Or in her distressed state she thought so, but disagreed once the ordeal was over. And thus was the start of this Lancelot Aaron Longbottom’s life.
He was a quiet, thoughtful baby. The trait carried through into the early years of childhood. Always the sensitive little boy, somewhat fearful, sticking to his brother even during the all manners of mischief he got into. Having not gone to school and being taught by his mother until of age for Hogwarts, Lancelot didn’t have too many young companions apart from his brother. Every time the school year rolled round again, he was amazed by the amount of kids going from shop to shop in Diagon Alley. He’d look from the balcony and appreciate the way the sun tinted that one ladies hair from a brown to an orange, the how that old Wizards limp looked almost like he had an imagined beat in his head as he wandered up and down. Always appreciating the small details, for such he had a keen eye. When his father involved him in Herbology throughout breaks, though he was often away during the school year, he paid attention and became engulfed in the ritual of seeding and watering and pruning. He didn’t prefer it to anything else, but working hard on his plants to keep them alive while his father away gave him something to do, and made him feel accomplished and over the moon when his father praised him on it. He came to crave praise, and did his best at everything and anything he could to achieve it.
When his brother left for Hogwarts, it was just him and Josie until breaks. He’d help out downstairs, cleaning tables and practicing charms that did so (he had acquired a wand long before ever going to Hogwarts). The lonelier the days got, the more daydreaming he did and wandering about, inspecting every detail of every tiny thing. When breaks rolled around, the family was excited and happy and quite loud in their fun. Work, and each other, kept them on their toes. And then, after a whole year, upon the coming of eleven, Lance received his letter from Hogwarts. He was so excited he had to brag to customers, quite out of character for the lad, which only showed how utterly stoked he was about going to school. The boys were all away to let Josie have her alone time, and they had their own fun at Hogwarts. Life was pretty normal, only that Lancelot was finally interacting with kids his age and had a lot more ways to get the praise he wanted. But whoooo knoowwsss what will happen this yeeaarr?

roleplay sample; Why were today's classes the ones he disliked the most? Lance wasn't sure if there was some kind of curse on him. Yet, he knew he was only overexaggerating. It was getting harder and harder staying awake durning History of Magic. He wasn't a Ravenclaw, someone that dove into homework and textbooks. He actually liked to spend his time running around the castle or at least doing some kind of healthy activity.
He'd just finished running about 30 minutes ago, taking the moment to drink some water and cool down before blending in with the rest of the school. However, his stomach was growling and he didn't know if he should eat now or later. Remembering about the kitchens and the secret of getting in made his decsion a little easier. As he walked closer to the kitchens, he glanced around to make sure he wasn't spotted. He'd learned a few years ago about the way to get in, but he figured that most of the school knew any how. Most things traveled around Hogwarts quickly. If you had a secret, a gossiper would soon find out and everyone would be talking about it by the next day or sooner.
Lance then lifted his hand and tickled the pear on one particular painting, a soft giggle as his response. After a few seconds, a door appeared and he stepped inside. The aroma from dinner preperations was enough to make him salivate, however he refrained from even thinking about the disgusting thought. It didn't make him less hungry just thinking about food. Shortly after his entrance, a small kind house elf approched him, asking if he'd want anything. He'd kindly gave his wish to the elf and thanked her. It wasn't often that the elves recieved praise and compliments from wizards, because students didn't even feel obligated to even thank those who'd made the meals they ate.
As the house elves fluttered around, he figured being in the way wasn't helping them, so he tried looking for a spot out of the flow of traffic.Suddenly he heard some footsteps outside,he raised his eyes and he saw someone standing at the door.
